Well it didn't even take until morning. My niece's school district just closed.
The district my sister works for has gone to a 2 hour delay but i have a feeling they will cancel by morning.
mine would simply not go, no way I would have them stand outside waiting, or risk their lives on a questionable bus ride.Well in the crazy news of the day category, the school district my sister works for and the district my niece's go to, are going to go back to school tomorrow even though every major district in Indianapolis has canceled. That is just crazy. The streets in Indy are bad. Out here, they are horrendous!! There is 24 plows in our county to cover twice the area of Indianapolis which has 110 plows out on the road.
Then the district my niece's go to posts this big long message on facebook about how the buses will be running way behind and that they may not even be able to get through at all in some areas. They never said that they would call and tell those people though. So you are going to have kids standing out there forever waiting on the bus and for some of them, the bus may not ever show up? Not to mention the paragraph about not letting the kids walk or stand in the streets. Umm, there is 4 feet of snow on the sidewalks from the plows that went through. Where do they think the kids are going to stand.
Needless to say, Parents are giving them a piece of their minds on their facebook page. LOL!!!!
That is one of my dreams to see the Northern lights in person not off a screen hohum...![]()
I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED Elvis!!!!!!! I just swoon when I hear his voice. We have some great impersonators at the Parkes Elvis Festival and the ones who can sing like him... all I can say is their wives better get out of my way!!! I prefer Elvis' black leather though. Have you got one of those Ryan??
I didn't realise you get Downtown Abbey , how great!
Thanks! No food allergies that we are aware of. The girls were tested for multiple allergies after I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. She was feeling better after she woke up and went in to work for a few hours this evening.

I wish to thank you all as well. I never take my wife (CAH) for granted, but going through this, not knowing, made me realize how much I love and appreciate her.
"Some anxiety" would be the understatement of the year for me. When she walked out and into the waiting room and gave me a thumbs up and said it is just a cyst, I about started crying. At one point I had to stop and hug her as we were leaving.
good to hear! Now was this a wise move on their part, or were they caving in to parental demands to close?Well it didn't even take until morning. My niece's school district just closed.

Well g'night everyone! We are still getting snow showers...they were predicting just 2 to 4 inches the next 2 days but just today alone we have received 5inches and are under a winter storm warning, my backyard has 10 inches depth. I just brought snowball in from playing Frisbee out there he loves running in it! I will talk to you guys tomorrow. I talked brandi into letting me watch Home Alone 2 on the tube tonight while we drift off to sleep. I have not seen that yet in the new year!!!
Good morning!
Are you getting any relief from the frigid temperatures?
We are supposed to see a high of 30 degrees today, that's a big difference from the past few days!
I hope you have a wonderful day!
Good Morning; How is everyone on this glorious Thursday morning? I had a very early rise this morning (4:15am) to get up and head to work (had to make up some time).
Funny thing has occurred since we have moved (about 50 miles away from our previous address) and since we have, we have had a kid(s) (ages 19-21) from our old neighborhood at the house almost everyday since we left. Last night for instance, we had 5 of them there. They're following us....lol!
Lisa and just sort curled up on the couch together, later on in the evening in front of the fireplace sort of getting a chuckle out of all of it. Here we are, moved away and they're driving 50 miles just to come and hang out with us and our kids. We bought them all Pizza and subs and let them spend the night if they wanted to. We just sort of feel good that they like us that much and still want to be around us....They come in the door, run over to us, hug us and sit around and talk to us for awhile, makes us feel like we are doing something right~
Good morning all. Today I'm off to conflict mediation training. I'll be there tomorrow, then I have to do ten hours of conflict counseling while under supervision. After that, I can apply for my certification. My agency is paying for it all, and I think it will look good on my resume so I'm excited about it. But I may not be on today as much. So, I wish everyone a great Thursday!
Good morning all. Temp was a cool 18 when I left for work this morning. Sadly temps will be in the 50s this weekend. At least this will give the folks around here a chance to thaw/repair their water lines. Many folks in our area use spring water and their lines froze in the sub-zero temps. We have a well and were fortunate to avoid the frozen water lines. Hopefully winter weather will return soon.
Our son's girlfriend heads back to college Monday. He will be heartsick for a while but we have to get busy applying for college scholarships for him. January 30 will be a big day for us as he starts the interview process for a full scholarship at Gardner Webb University.
Have a blessed day everyone.
