It is still wet outside, so no house work today. Hubby and I will be going to Chico later to order the trusses and check on the kitchen cabinets. We received four gift cards from Red Lobster, so guess where we are going for dinner! Plus, they have the Lobsterfest going on!

Valerie just posted on facebook that she is meeting with the QVC buyers to plan out her fall shows and asked what everyone wanted. The sheer number of people asking for more mercury glass has me afraid for the future of society.

So glad that Nancy is better. I had an inner ear infection when I was a senior in college and it was awful. It took me a year until I could lift my arms up over my head (to hang curtains) without getting dizzy! Now she knows what to do if it ever happens again. Had someone suggested PT to help fix the problem?

Her sister had mentioned it several days earlier, but I've had reason to question her sanity of late (just kidding!). Her doctor sent her, though.

My youngest daughter is leaving for Florida a week from tomorrow. She was invited to go with one of her friends, the family has another home down there in Tampa. They will be there for a week, during their Winter recess. It was kind of a last minute thing, we just purchased her plane ticket. This is the same family that took her on a cruise last year.

We are the ultimate helicopter parents, my wife more so than me. Nancy hates to let them spend the night a nearby friends' houses. I can't imagine her letting either of them go out of state! LOL

TGIF, my Christmas friends!

Nancy had been having trouble with dizziness lately, and it was even worse yesterday. Luckily, she had an appt. scheduled for yesterday afternoon with a physical therapist to address the issue. We were both skeptical about a PT being able to help with this, but in about 30 minutes she had Nancy fixed-up! It all seems very fantastical, but it has to do with the misalignment of "crystals" in the inner ear. With a few deft motions, turning Nancy's head from left to right, everything went back to normal. Crazy, but I'll take it. As they say, when mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy!

Lunch with my mom & brother today, then more work, work, work.

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's a chilly morning here in central Indy where we currently stand at 5 degree's. That's actually a decent improvement over the -7 we were at a few hours ago. We should get up to the mid teen's this afternoon. I crashed hard last night. All of those days of hardly any sleep finally caught up with me and I got a solid 8 hours of sleep last night. Which for me, is a miracle. Not much going on today. Just have some more laundry to do and then I want to do some things around my bedroom. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

Hello MMC!
It is another chilly day but it is sunny out, so that's good.
Typical day here of errands and chores. I already went to butcher and CVS this morning. I'm going to head back out for a few more things after lunch.
My youngest daughter is leaving for Florida a week from tomorrow. She was invited to go with one of her friends, the family has another home down there in Tampa. They will be there for a week, during their Winter recess. It was kind of a last minute thing, we just purchased her plane ticket. This is the same family that took her on a cruise last year. They are so good to her. She wants to go swimsuit shopping over the weekend. I hope we can find some stores that have them out already. It's hard to think about swimsuit shopping with these frigid temperatures that we're having!

The bad news is that the overseas postage would be a deal-breaker: a crocheted afghan in a 14"x14"x14" box weighs about 15 pounds, give or take a few ounces. According to the USPS postage calculator, sending one to Australia would cost about US$190!

BTW, it looks like the snowstorm we were expecting for Sunday night into Monday has fizzled out. We're now expecting just a little bit of snow. That's okay by me! We won't be getting above freezing for several days, though.

My daughter has been best friends with this girl since they met in first grade, they are seniors now! I know the family very well. But I know how you feel, I was a lot like the way you and your wife are when my girls were younger. I actually still am but it's hard to hold on to them so tightly as they get older. My daughter will be choosing a college soon. Both of her older sisters chose local schools so my youngest not being here everyday is going to be a big adjustment for me. I'm not looking forward to that!

TGIF! I have had a headache almost everyday for a week. I've got some stress going on this week! I think I need to go to a chiropractor. After the fall I had on NYE, I don't hurt, but I feel "jammed up". Our AA massaged my neck & shoulders today & was shocked at how tense they were!

Last night they said we might get a little snow. DD, who is 8, said, "People, I'm ready for some summer!" We've made camping reservations for Easter weekend & our summer vacation. Gotta have something to look forward to when it's cold outside!

We will be watching the Olympics today. DD is excited!

Hi all!

I have been a little busy with my little Chico. He has a heart condition and ran into some problems last week. He has been to the vet twice this week. He has made a little improvement but we just have to keep an eye on him. He goes back to the vet next week for a check up. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers! Thanks!

In other news, we got some snow yesterday and might get more next week. I am so happy!

I am excited about the Olympics!!! I hope Shaun White gets another gold!!!

I am going to try and read a few post before I go finish up some chores.
