Thanks HomemakinGirl! I have to be careful though; keep on my toes in regards to when me and the boy are going out somewhere, when he calls, and say's lets hang out or do something, 9 out 10 times, it means that he needs something and Dad's buying.....:-o The last time that happened, it was his car and when the Mrs came home and saw what I spent that day on him, out of the corner of my eye I saw him sliding around the corner of the family room, disappearing to his room. I could almost hear him say,"whoops Mom's home, exit stage left...", Dad, you can handle this.....Hmmmmmm, can we say, lets butter Dad up today!!!!LoL! Kids, ya just gotta love em~

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! It's going to be 70 here today!! I already have the windows open and the apartment airing out. I'm also paying for it though. The pollen count today is a 15 on a scale of 1 to 10 according to the news and I can verify that!! I'm trying out some different allergy meds though so hopefully they will kick in soon. My goal for today is to make out a menu for easter. I'm going to search for some new recipes to try out that look like they may work for Christmas too. Then maybe I will squeeze in a nap later. I really need to start working on going to bed before 4am and then getting up at 8:30. LOL!!! I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning MMC! It's an absolutely beautiful morning! Rain is supposed to move in this afternoon but I just don't want it too! Who do I need to talk too?? :lol: Our back yard needs a chance to dry out! Tired of wiping dogs paws already! Ha ha!
Tonight we are supposed to take our friend out to eat for her birthday which was last Sunday (group of 4 of us go out for our birthdays) but 1 of the girls is sick! She's feeling better today but not 100% & she would like us to pick a different night. If it were any of the other 3 of us we would say "go ahead w/o me" but this one always causes drama! Birthday girl can't go again until after May b/c she has 1 graduating, kids in track, & softball & another going to school in art so many art shows coming up soooo...drama, drama, drama. We are too old for this childish stuff! :lol:
Other than that - not much going on today. Just working & wishing I could be outside! Talked to my niece last night who is finishing up her schooling to become a NP. She started working 3 days a week the weeks she has 2 classes & 4 days a week the weeks she only has 1 class. She said "you working people, I don't know how you do it being inside all day! When I only had to study I could go outside to do it. This stinks! I have to do this until I retire?" (she was joking - sort of) Welcome to reality!!!!

Well we had an earthquake last night that was a 4.1...and I slept through it! My daughter woke up and casually came and told us, "my bedroom door was moving." So apparently she woke up and just laid there watching the house shake.

That's scary stuff. When my dad was stationed in California, we had a couple tremors. That'll make you take inventory of your life, let me tell you!

Yes, lots of Beatles!!! Of course his solo music is great too! He puts on a 3 hour show - not bad for a 72 year old man. He is exactly 3 days older than my mom, she has tons of energy too! There must be something about being born that month and year that keeps a person so youthful! =)

Ringo does not do as many Beatles tunes but he did not sing too many of their songs either. I still want to see him because, well... He's a Beatle!!!

Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

Today is the first showing of "The Music Man", and Elizabeth is so excited! She was still awake when I went to bed last night, and she was up before I left for work this morning. I hope she's not too tired tonight!

We're going tonight, but Friday night sold out before we could buy tickets. Then we're going Saturday night and Sunday evening. It's been a long few months of preparation, but it should be a great show.

Now Nancy is on me about making vacation plans. I just want to go to the mountains and relax for 7 or 10 days, but I don't think that is in the cards for me.

Does anyone have any experience on Sanibel Island, FL? Good grief.

Got a phone call from my mum this morning saying a delivery company picked up the parcel for me. There are more books coming my way, and much more chocolate! My friends will obviously be very happy about that while for me, it means a funeral to my diet.

Paul McCartney just announced a few USA tour dates with more announcements on the way. I am hoping he makes his way nearby! We just saw him last May in Austin and now I am spoiled because we got tickets right next to the stage! How could I ever go back to nose bleed seats again??? Ha ha! The first 2 times I saw him I had to depend on the large screen to see him but this last time I could see him without it!!! I am not sure I could afford those seats again! I will not buy from resale either! They really raise the prices on them! At cost you have to be sitting on the computer as soon as they go on sale because Paul will sell out within 30 minutes to an hour! We lucked out last time and got those great seats - there were a lot of fans not too happy because they were on the computer as soon as they went on sell and did not score any because he sold out so fast!

I think Sugar understands all this! You know how it is when you are getting tickets to see Luke!

We will see Ringo this summer and it would be nice to add Paul to that list! Let's hope we can!

Here I go again! I got to go and get ready for the day and didn't get a chance to catch up on here!

Ahhhhh, good morning! It's been a little while since I was able to sleep for 12 hours.....Coffee - Yesssssss!!!!!

Wow! It feels soooooo weird right now, I sort of feel, like I'm forgetting to do something or like, there is something is out of place; kind of feeling; Oh yes, I'm not working.... And I like it!!!!!

I'm going to spend all day doing ------nothing! Except for whatever I decide to do, by choice! Yes!!!!!

You know something, today is the first time that I have awaken and there was sunlight streaming in thru the windows.. Usually, I get up in the morning, it's dark outside, I get home in the morning, it's dark outside; go! fiqure....LOL!

Well, I'm going to make a big breakfast, enjoy my coffee and then wait for the boy to get home this morning. He has just called me and was asking, "Dad, can help me get my taxes done"! I like, your kidding me right; it's like the 11th hour before a due date and your just starting them now???? Kids, even when their 21, they still act like little kids...helpless! Ok, change of plans, breakfast then help him get his taxes done.....fun-fun!

Oh by the way, he's leaving for Texas again for 10 weeks of specialty schooling in the Air Force, he leaves this coming Tuesday morning....So, needless to say, I want to hang with him for a little while; he's my boy.....

Good Afternoon! I hope everyone is having a good day! I am just popping in very quickly. We have been busy. This morning we went to the park and when we got home the children helped me with a few house chores.

We have been playing some board games and I think we will watch a film in a bit. I have not been able to do much work today but that's ok , I am just happy that my children want to spend time with me and I am grateful that I can be here for them when they need me. I am blessed. I will catch up with work at some point At least they have been helping with the house work LOL !

I am looking forward to some TV tonight and a little down time after our day!

It was just about 30 degrees when I woke up this morning but it is supposed to climb in to the lower 50's. And thankfully the sun is shining.
Not too much going on for me today. I think I'm going to go for a walk after I finish my cup of coffee and get it over with. Then I have some chores to do around the house. And I may take a ride to the mall later this afternoon. I need to pick up a couple of things for myself and I have a few coupons so I might as well use them.

Too many stories floating around about what goes on at our favorite retreat. CBS execs know that if pictures or video was ever released it could be a major scandal and they just don't need that kind of heat!

You nut! 4 am!!! It's a beautiful (WINDY) day here too. I spent my lunch outside chatting with my neighbor & chasing Gracie. It was so nice to be outside! Sorry your allergies are bothering you! Hopefully the meds help!! I need to figure out exactly what I'm making for Easter too. My sister is bringing a "new" kind of ham recipe you make in a cooking bag with brown sugar & onion. Let it sit in the oven overnight & then it just shreds apart in the morning for sandwiches. They say it is delicious so I can't wait to try! Hope you are having a great day. Get some sleep!

She's 45, not 15! Geesh!
