No, I was mistaken thinking she was having an appointment this week w/ the orthopedic surgeon. She can't even get in until the second week in June. I will keep you posted, thank you for asking <3

Good morning! We had thunderstorms roll thru our area at 4:30 this morning, so needless to say, I was up after that... Last night, I decided not to do much in home improvements around the house and decided instead to do some exploring around the neighboring towns.

So, the Mrs and I went on a road trip for a couple of hours. We found some restaurants, shopping centers and yes, places that made and sold homemade Ice cream. We stopped at one those ma and pa places and got some homemade Ice cream with a chocolate dipped waffle cone with sprinkles; wow, what a tremendous difference from the store bought stuff... I was in hog heaven~ Lisa had to keep nudging me, to tell me to wipe my face; I was into that ice cream so much, I kept getting it all in my whiskers and mustache cheesy! Ahhhh, I was lost into the moment and didn't care just how much I was wearing it, instead I asked her if she wanted a big wet cold kiss.....:lol:

Hopefully, it will be a really nice and quiet day around here at the office, half of my co-workers are out and the boss is out for the whole day as well, It's amazing how much work you can get done when you don't have those constant interruptions all day long.

Isn't it great how ice cream can always revert someone back to being a child again LOL! Glad you all had a nice time. Yes I sure do agree about working without people breathing down your back. Enjoy your day!

I'm doing well, keeping busy with the girls. The school year is coming to an end soon, can't believe my youngest will be graduation high school. Prom will be here before we know it, the dress came out nice. There are a couple of things that are annoying me but I'm not going to open my mouth. If I don't point it out, no one will notice. Thankfully the dress looks beautiful but I will never go back to that boutique again, the owner was beyond rude. I've also been busy planning my daughter's graduation party!
Maggie is hanging in there, some days are better than others. She's a trooper though!

I am glad you and Mr were able to get to Fenway, but those prices are beyond ridiculous.
Mr. is still in my thoughts, I hope it continues to heal properly.

Thank you so much! Now that the scramble of getting diagnosed and having the laser repair done is over, I'm worrying more, it seems---I didn't have much time to think about it yesterday. I must get out of that rut really quick.

I agree, everything is so darn expensive today. The last time I brought my daughter to a concert I paid $10 for two water bottles. I told her I could have bought two cases of water for that price. It's crazy. Hope you still had fun at the game!

good that surgery went well, don't worry to much about the warnings, they are required to scare you, part of the job description.

I'm sure all those warnings are "don't expect a miracle" disclaimers, but they just hit the wrong note. The positive thing is that the repair was made, so I'll focus on that.

We'll have a passenger train taking short rides to a neighboring county, a tour of homes, food and other activities going on. It should be a lot of fun, but it's sure a lot of work preparing for it.

Jacob is now an employee at Bernie's, and he sure is pouting about it LOL. I had to work every summer during high school, and every afternoon during 11th & 12 grade. I don't think it'll hurt him.

Mr. had the laser procedure today, and it seems to have gone well. They don't really make any guarantees that his vision will improve, but at least the tear in the retina is repaired. The doctor let us know that once this happens, it could happen again, or occur in the other eye, at any time---"because your other eye is the same age." Not so encouraging, but that's life as you get a bit older. I don't think of us as being so very old, but when you run into something like this, you start to feel old anyway.

At least we got to the ball game. But it was a dud. The Sox lost 6 to 4. It was 5 to 1 when we left during the 5th. They sure aren't the team they were last year. And the prices! Two sodas, chicken tenders with fries, and a burger with fries, $37.50! Five bucks for a 20-oz bottle of soda, $4.25 for a bag of popcorn! You gotta love Fenway Park to pay for all that plus your tickets and the train.

Glad Mr's procedure went well!! Hope it heals up quickly!!

Sorry the Red Sox lost!!!! Glad you got to go though!!

I am going to read awhile. I started a new (to me) book, Burn Factor by Kyle Mills ; and I will continue with the Jo Nesbo book. We have another dinner meeting tomorrow evening, and we will be heading to Madera to attend our nephew's high school graduation this weekend. TTYL

Good morning everyone! Hope everyone is well. We are approaching the end of another workweek so make some coffee and hold on until the weekend. ^^ I've just checked in online for my flight to Lithuania next Thursday. Going home in a week. So excited! I am now trying to call my mum to congratulate her on her birthday but she is not picking up. I bet her phone is on silent mode while she is at work. Oh well.

We are expecting rain showers over the next three days with temperatures in the mid to lower 60's. It still looks like it will clear up and be nice for Sunday and Monday so at least the long weekend won't be a wash out.
I have to head out for an appointment later this morning, then back home to work on my daily chores. I'm also still working on a menu plan for our Memorial Day barbeque, so I may look up some new recipes later this afternoon. Not too much else going on for me today.
My husband told me the kitchen cabinets are finally at the finisher. He has been swamped at work for the past couple of weeks and had to put our kitchen on the back burner. So I was happy to hear we are moving in the right direction again. This has been the longest project ever!!!

Good Evening, Everyone!!!!! Mom's appointment went good. Her blood level was still in the good range so she gets to go a week and a half before going back this time. Thankfully the storms let up for us to get home but they just started back up again. I won't complain though. Mother Nature needs to get it all out of her system before the parade and race this weekend. I'll see everyone at the Pines!!!!!!
