That IS a blessing. But I don't want to find at the end of the "summer" that what I remember most is a long train of dark, mostly cloudy days. I need some summer sunshine in my personal solar battery to get me through the long, dark winter.

I am the opposite, I would love to have a cool summer. I just read an article on Reverse Seasonal Affective Disorder. That may explain things about how odd I am. cheesy

I was at a stoplight this morning when I saw a baby squirrel hesitating in the bushes, tentatively moving toward crossing a two-lane road in morning traffic. I wanted to roll down the window and yell, "Don't do it!" Before I got the chance, traffic started coming down the other lane, and the little guy got scared and turned around and ran back into the bushes. He made a wise decision.

There are almost always squirrels in the backyard, and I'm surprised sometimes at how vocal they are---they have different kinds of chatter and even little barks that you hear sometimes.

I love them, my kids love them, my wife loves them. They are so fun to watch, I want to put squirrel food out in the yard and just watch them.

Good morning MMC! It's a rainy ol day here in Ohio! So far it's just sprinkling around. I was hoping it would hold off until later so I could get the lawn mowed! After work I have to hurry home & get Gracie to the "spa"! (groomer) Tomorrow morning she goes in to be spayed, micro chipped & get her rabies shot. Then she will have to wear the "cone of shame" - poor girl.



Other than that, not much going on today except work! Should run to the store tonight to get things for Fathers Day. We are having both families to the lake again for a cook out. Hopefully the weather cooperates b/c our trailer isn't big enough for 60 people. Lol!!

Thanks, HMG! I know I will - she is my pride and joy. They sang a bunch of songs during the ceremony and she had been working so hard on them - they put her dead last, to walk up on the stage, to be in the group, which I found odd. I though maybe it was because she is on the shorter side. I found out later on from one of her teachers, it's because they thought she is becoming such a singer and performer. I was so proud! Made me cry even more!

One more Gracie picture just b/c this cracked me up. Sunday morning when it was raining at the lake I was watching "Hotel For Dogs" on tv. I had the surround sound on & the dogs barking through the speakers was about making her crazy....then she found them on tv, so she decided to watch!

Holy moly, what a day.
I did some food shopping. Went to the doctor with my oldest. Went to a dentist appointment with my middle one. Took my youngest to a boutique on the other side of the island for a dress that she needed. Went to CVS. Went to Rite Aid 4 times. Yes, 4 times. Still managed to do my chores and get dinner on the table. Vacuumed up the dust my husband was making while working in the kitchen this evening. Took care of the cats and dogs in between. And I've had a headache all day. Grrr.
My daughter is in so much pain with her throat again. I feel so bad for her. I've been in and out of her room a million times bringing hot tea, motrin, tylenol, ginger ale, ice pops, etc! She's not getting any relief. The ENT said they can't see her until the 20th. I really wanted him to see her while she was sick so he could see how bad she gets. It's frustrating how long it takes to get an appointment.
I'm going to turn in soon and try to get some rest. Thankfully my husband is doing some electrical work now so he's being pretty quiet.

Oh my! So sorry to hear your daughter is so miserable! Hopefully she can find relief very soon. And yes that is frustrating that you have to wait so long to get into an ENT!
