Happy Monday everyone! It is going to be 85 today in CT but I was cleaning out my junk draw this weekend and found 2 apple and cinammon plug ins so it smells so fall/Christmasy in my house today.

Thanks, Friend!!!! I don't know about fun at my sister's. She is sick and trying to pack for them to go on vacation this friday. Which is a whole other story. So I'm just running my small carry on bags out to her for the girls to use.



The racing should be fun though as long as Junior doesn't wreck out early!!!!

Taking it easy now, JP had a game earlier. He made his debut as a pitcher, he did well. My father and father in law both came to the game.



Watching the Sox now, just waiting until they take me out for ice cream later.

Praying all is well with everyone! Hopelessly behind, but no time today to catch up.



Quick update: my phone is fine, it is the box a few miles away that is broken. Supposedly it is going to be replaced, but the repairman had no idea when or how long it would take. I was given 2 phone numbers to call direct to the guys that do the repair work in this area should there be any future problems. So far it has been working okay, just really, really, really slow.



Gorgeous day today, but I have been inside working on store stuff. Found a lot of goodies yesterday and I need to clean, catalog, tag and pack items. Slow going as I need to look up a few things and there is a feisty feline hindering my every move. I don't think Palmer has taken a nap at all today. I am currently on a dinner break ~ still a bit more to do yet tonight.

[Holiday]

Good Morning!

The grandkids will be here soon and trying to figure out what fun we will have today. Our local library have lots of activities for the summer that we are involved in. Last week it was a Lego building competition and I was one of the judges. They kept us in another room while the kids built their projects then brought us out to judge. It was fun! We also checked out about 40 books and the kids have been enjoying reading a lot. They read so many hours per week and get prizes. We also went to the aquarium at Fair Park, the playground and McDonalds for ice cream and play there as well.

The weather has been great so far with temps holding at around 93 and below. I can handle that!!! Usually it is nearing 100 by now. I would still like it to be in the 80's and below but not going to complain as long as it can stay below 100!

All Mondays shall be included into the mandatory 3-day weekend....... Oh boy, how I could just do 4 tens instead of 5 eights!!!!!

Ha-Ha! Now that I got that out.... "GOOD MORNING MMC"

The weekend re-cap for me was really good. The only frown that I had was on Saturday; Lisa bought this special order "custom" half round blind, and I thought that thing was going to do me in. The package arrived with the wrong installation instructions included, so we called customer service, got them to send us the "correct install instructions...."! Guess again, the first 1-7 steps were correct, but steps 8-15, not so correct.....the instructions reflected parts that are no longer included in the install kit and so half of the hardware was not indicated on the instructions and I had no idea what to do with it. Well, I was determined to get it in, so after 5 hours of fumbling and bumbling, I prevailed; all on my own....I'm such a good boy!!!!

Father's Day was great! We went to visit my in-laws and we cooked out on the grill and both of my kids were there, my grandfather and my wife's grandfather were there as well; 95 and 91 respectfully, God bless them!

I was not here all weekend so I am sending out a belated "Happy Father's Day" to all of you other dads out there, I hope everyone had a chance to spend time with their families and hopefully enjoyed their day~

Okay, I want to order a few more days' worth of today's weather!

That's how I felt about our weather Saturday & Sunday. Just perfect! Especially Saturday!

I ran a few errands this morning and now I have some work to do here around the apartment since I was lazy all weekend. I also have some work to do here on the computer. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It feels soooo HOT out there today. MUGGY!!! Wew!!!! Stay cool & safe from the storms!

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!! That would taste soooooo good with my coffee right now~

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

My laptop is acting up again, so our IT department is working remotely. I'm using an old computer that was lying around.

I had a great Father's Day with the family. Elizabeth had play practice, so we all went out to eat after church, but before practice. It was my choice, so we went to Moe's Southwest Grill. I love that place!

My good weekend was dampened, however, by the unexpected death of an old friend's wife. I went to school with Joey, and we've both worked at the same place for more than 25 years. They're still not sure what happened, she was only 40, but he and their children are devastated. I plan to go to his house again this afternoon with our manager. Prayers for his family would be appreciated.

Good morning MMC! Like Made, we are going to have a hot week ahead. Our 1st 90º day of the year, tomorrow. Wew! I hope everyone had a great weekend! Saturday we got 21 miles on our bicycles! It was SUCH a beautiful day! Working at the festival was a lot of fun. I got to see a lot of people I haven't seen for quite awhile! The Fathers Day party went very well, good turn out! Oh - my youngest nephew got engaged Friday night! Soooo excited! Hard to believe! And she is a great addition to the family! She's a sweetie - ornery, but a sweetie. :lol:

The cinnamon rolls turned out good. The pan that I baked half way, froze, then baked the rest of the way in the morning - didn't raise as much as I would have liked, but they tasted good. The pan that I baked, iced, froze - were very good. I set them on the oven as I baked the other pan, so they warm too!

Thanks Meceka! Mom is doing well. It was a superficial thrombophlebitis (varicose veins) - nothing she can do about it except take advil. Should be gone within a month. Will have to call doc if it gets worse....hopefully it doesn't! Gracie is doing MUCH better!!! I would say 95% back to normal! :smile:
