My dad had mentioned something like this back in May that he heard that about Texas as well. I was not sure I could possibly believe it was true but so far our summer has been mild compared to the summers in the past. I really hope this prediction is true and these triple digits will not last!

We will hit the triple digits for the first time this weekend. Time to crank the Christmas music up as loud as it can go to cool things off. :lol:

I am surprised the triple digits have not come sooner. We have been really lucky so far this year. I just hope this heat doesn't stick around too long but not too sure about that!

Technically we haven't hit 90 yet this summer either. The airport out here by where I live has hit it multiple times but the official temperature is taken at the main airport on the west side and it hasn't gotten above 88 there for 301 days now. That is a new record.

Good morning friends. I'm trying g to lose 30 pounds so I've been working out again. It was hurt in a treadmill but I did the 5k this morning in under 40 minutes so I'm excited!

Now if you need me I'm going to be at the first ER I can find. Should you need to get in touch just call around to the local Oklahoma City hospitals until you find me.

LOL!!!!!! I'll get the Get Well card ready to send out!!!!!

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a decent day here with a high near 80 degree's. I don't have much planned for today. Just going to be working around the apartment. My sister and niece's just took off from Seattle here a bout an hour ago and will be home this afternoon. So I will be waiting to hear from them too before heading out to the Pines tonight. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

My sister and niece's just took off from Seattle here a bout an hour ago and will be home this afternoon. So I will be waiting to hear from them too before heading out to the Pines tonight. Good morning!
It's going to be a little bit cooler today, sunny with temperatures in the lower 80's.
I'm heading out soon to pick up a few things at the supermarket. Back home afterwards to start my daily chores. The girls will all be home today, my two oldest both have off from work and my youngest will be coming home from the Hamptons so I think I'll see if they want to go out to lunch. Not too much else going on.

We have a cold front here for three days now. Weather forecast says it will get warmer tomorrow, but I don't trust them. It's rainy and looks like fall. While I love fall I want to have a real summer first!

Unfortunately we don't have Christmas in July here in my country. But I remember how it looks like from my holiday trip to the united states. Wish you one too!

Well I have been fine. Some changes at my job, which make my life much easier. And in january I got a great wage increase and a permanent position at my workplace. Theefore I'm very happy. But there where some health issues in my family, some of them serious. I do hope that the second half of the year will be better.

Before I got the boot from here yesterday afternoon, this is what I was going to post!!! (Thankful for copy/paste)

The conversation of, "Is Santa real"? came up with my 2 older grandsons last night - ages 8 - 10. My daughter had to call me last night to break the news to me gently, I think she thought I was going to be devastated! I know they are getting older and it's expected. I am just happy my oldest grandson made it to age 10 before questioning! Heck, I was 7 years old when I questioned it. It all turned out good and their parents discussed about celebrating the spirit and of Santa. I am glad that they did not say, "yeah, you're right kid, there is no Santa"! Instead they told them about the real St. Nicholas, which I have told them before but they let them know he was real! It was a nice transition. It was funny though how my daughter called and was carefully telling me about it because she knows how much I love Santa and was not sure of how my reaction would be! :lol: Hey, the kids are normal and they are getting older! I expect that! It's all good! The kids will still love Christmas and they will still see me get excited when I see Santa!!! He's real to me!

You know, it's really cool though, these conversations usually come up during the holidays. Just goes to show that my grandkids think about Christmas year round like I do!

They are lucky to have such great people to explain it to them!!!

Expecting a hot and sunny day here, which means the commuter trains will be delayed all day. They're so decrepit that they have to run them slower in hot weather or they'll break down. Bless the MBTA. I drive to work, but Mr. works downtown and depends on the train, so he'll probably be running late tonight.

Soo-oo sleepy. Woke up with bad dreams this morning. Ugh.

Hope your hubby is home earlier than expected!!! I have been having weird dreams too the last couple nights! Here's too a dreamless night - or at least a good dream night!!!

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! It's been a stormy morning here in central Indy and it knocked my cable and internet there for a while. Everything is back up and running though and it looks the worst of the storms are done with for the day. Not a whole lot going on here. I need to get my normal cleaning done and then I want to clean out my pantry. I'll have Hallmark on in the background too of course. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

We lost power for an hour this morning, but it was between storms!! Sunny now! Hope you are staying cool & having a Hallmark Christmas movie kind of day!!!

I didn't know that the show, Home and Family, on Hallmark are all Christmas too! Maybe it has been mentioned but I am happy they are Christmas themed! It is on now, 10:30 central time, if anyone is interested. There will be another one on right after this is over.

I noticed that yesterday. Cool!!!

Glad to hear that they handled it like they did. I've tried to have this talk with my sisters but they won't listen to me. So I just have to hope that my niece's will come to me when it's time.

When The Middle came on last night it was a Thanksgiving one. I ended up watching that one! (9 pm here). It works out for me to end at that time, I am usually asleep between 9 and 10 every night. Hallmark Movie Channel continues to show Christmas movies all night. Do you have that station?

I guess I should have watched - I noticed over the weekend The Middle was Christmas episodes! How did I miss that about HMC??!! I'm pretty sure we get that channel - last year we didn't, but we have upgraded our package!! I'll have to check. Awesome! Thanks for the info!!!

I've been watching those!! Especially when the Hallmark ones go to sitcoms, etc. Still annoyed with that!

We did stay safe, thanks. The weather has been all over the place, lol. There were more storms, and the sun came out to set, and it kept raining! It was beautiful!!

Good morning snowflake! I looked last night & we DO get HMC! Problem is we only get it on our main tv & my hubby was watching some goofy movie on there last night when I got home! And it was after 10 so the Hallmark was back to The Middle - which was a Valentines Day special! Ah well - at least now I know about HMC!

Good afternoon ... hope everyone is staying cool today. Its hot and humid here today YUCK!!!! The weather this past weekend was beautiful .. wish we had that now. Oh well.... Hope everyone had a great holiday and weekend. I spent part of mine making cherry pie filling and canning them. Got enough to make 3 pies for the holiday season :dance:. Spent the rest of the weekend watching Christmas movies on the hallmark channels and working on Christmas puzzles with my daughter.

Hello everyone. Just wanted to let those in the USA know that Sirius satellite radio will have there annual Christmas in July week on Radio Classics (ch 81). It begins this year on Sunday the 13th and runs all week. It will be Christmas theme radio shows from the late 1930s through the early 60s. Enjoy.

We keeping getting closer to our Son going off to college. It will be a tough time.

We have some great guys, don't we?!

Adrian isn't a Christmas nut like us, but he has learned to like it much more in the 12 1/2 years we've been together! In fact, he plays it off, but is so excited to decorate the outside with lights each year, and hits all of the stores to check out what's new each season. And then he'll go out shopping the clearance on Dec. 26th! It's "for me" of course!
