Merry :mrbones:Scary Tuesday everyone !

The weather today has been perfect for the season. Very Dark, grey but strangely warm. We seem to be having summer temps here at 16C! We just came back from a walk out to the shops. We have been enjoying all the fallen leaves everywhere. As the children are off school this week, there is a festive, cheerful atmosphere out as people get in the spirit of holloween. I hope that this weather keeps up.

We were out picking up Halloween decorations for Mr Festive 's office and managed to find a couple reduced Halloween things for us too! Bargain!

Hope you all are having a great week and enjoying the build up! I am off to watch a Halloween episode of Bewitched with the kids- *twitches nose* lol

That sounds lovely, Sam!
Enjoy the beautiful weather & special time with the kids!
Happy Halloween decorating [emoji316]
Enjoy Bewitched!

This is our 7 day forecast, do you see what I see on Saturday? cheesy

7Day_fim.JPG

You got it right. Even out here they're talking about the possibility of "a few wet flakes" mixed in with the rain. So I figure you might get some straight snow out your way!

Good morning,

Just relaxing before heading into work for inventory.

Not much else going on here at the moment.

I will be back later tonight.

Have a great day!

Have a great day, Xmas! Hope all goes smoothly.

I'll have to check it out. Oddly enough I've seen the Exorcist 3, but never the first one or any of the others. I've heard part 2 is awful.

It is, lol. The original is really good.

I was supposed to work on my MP3's tonight, but I have started to listen to other music and haven't even started. I downloaded some Christmas music from Noisetrade last night to add, I probably get some of that done. cheesy

I'm pretty well prepared to sync to my Christmas library this weekend. Woooo! I've also been downloading a few Christmas tracks lately and am seriously considering buying the Pentatonix albums, after hearing the preview in the latest Merry Podcast. Love some good harmony!

Good morning everyone. Finally it is cooling down here with a high of 69 today. Sure beats the 90s we saw over the weekend.

Hope you all have a great Tuesday!

Have a great day and enjoy the cool down, Ryan!!!!

All this talk about snow in the forecast got me thinking about what our weather will be like for Thanksgiving. Last year it was SO cold we didn't have a good turnout for the turkey trot at all. Here's the forecast (very extended) for this year:

Sweet!!! Looks good!!!

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It's going to be a rainy day here with a high in the mid 60's. Then we start cooling down for the rest of the week. Not to much going on here today. Just going to do some more catch up work around the apartment and then it's back to the job hunt. I still need to listen to the newest podcast too. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a dreary ol day here so far too. Rain supposed to move in soon! Have a great day & good luck with the job hunt!!! xx

How will I survive this year without cable and hallmark Christmas movies?!?!?

Does Hallmark have an app that allows you to stream the movies, or do they stream any of their movies on their website? It's a long shot, but worth checking.

Unfortunately, some apps require a log-in to your cable service to access movies, though ... don't know about Hallmark.

I was just thinking about a neighbor of mine from nearly 20 years ago in some apartments I use to live in. We shared a porch with them and every year on Halloween we would decorate the porch and even enclose it to make a small haunted house for the kids to walk through and get candy. We had that set up for about an hour then take our kids out trick or treating. When my neighbors came home from Trick or Treating around 9:00 pm they would take down their Halloween decorations and start setting up their Christmas Tree and outdoor Christmas lights ON Halloween night!!! I remember the other neighbors commenting it's way too early for that BUT within a few days after Halloween everyone caught Christmas fever from them and about 50% of the apartments dragged their Christmas trees and decorations out then got busy decorating their place. Our apartments would be all lit up within the first week of November. I loved the way they got everyone in the Christmas spirit early. Because of them it got me decorating the first week of November and I have been doing so since!

In the words of our lovely Caninemom she called this time of year, Christween - Christmas/Halloween combo. That night at our apartments would describe it perfectly!

I love this story!

You know, someone needs to invent an outdoor light string that is orange and purple for Halloween---then you flip a switch and it becomes multicolor for Christmas! You'd only have to put up the outdoor lights once, and when trick-or-treat is over, just flip the switch for instant Christmas cheer!

Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year but I am not into the scary stuff, I am more into the whimsical childlike part of it. Halloween TV lineup consist of kid friendly shows, cartoons, cooking shows and house decorating shows. I will watch some of the shows on the Travel Channel featuring Haunted Houses across America. They show a few in my area but I have yet to go to them. That's about as scariest as it gets! =)

The one scary movie that I allow myself to watch, an old classic, The Exorcist! That movie scared me enough that I am not interested in watching any of the new scary stuff they have out now. I have seen other classics, The Shining, Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street and a few others but I only go back to the Exorcist. I have not seen that in a few years but my son and I do plan to watch it this week. (He's an adult!) No matter how many times I have seen it I still get freaked out over it! Wish me luck!

TV Alert!

Tonight on ABC is, The Great Halloween Fright Fest, competitive Halloween decorating show. A Family will be award 50,000 prize for the best display.

:scarykitty:

I can stand the vintage-era horror films, partly because the horrific stuff was suggested rather than shown in gross detail. I think it's scarier if they DON'T show it---as though it's too horrible to show!

We saw "The Corpse Vanishes" with Bela Lugosi yesterday. Pretty cheezy, actually! We were laughing at some of the dialogue.

Must be nice. I am jealous.

I remember twice we got snow and or ice on Thanksgiving. It was amazing! One of the ice storms was witnessed nationwide because the Cowboys were playing and it turned out to be an ice bowl. Lovely day for sure!!!

Have a wonderful "Scary" Tuesday! :D

Snow-in-Texas has inventory today too. He has put in over 15 hours overtime this past week. Good luck to you with yours!!!

My mom and I both hate slasher flicks! All this chasing people in the woods that they knew better to NOT run into the woods and getting hacked up with an axe. Not into that at all. If I watch something scary it has to not show gory bloody stuff.

Look out, folks! MerryCarey is our new millionaire! =)

That is a fantastic idea!!! You could make a fortune with that invention!!! I would buy a few sets!

I've never seen all of the Exorcist!

There's a few famous movies I've never seen. Kind of like my wife can't believe I've never seen Top Gun. I'm weird I guess.

Put it on your list of movies to watch! It's a good one!

My son is very picky with movie viewing and he likes this one. I do realize even if he is picky it's still his personal opinion but I think you will add it to being one of your favorites if you decide to watch it!

Ugh! Part 2 was boring!

That is awesome!!! When we got to be teenagers and didn't trick or treat anymore, we would go out looking for new Christmas decorations in the store but we never started decorating on Halloween.

That's a great tradition!!!

LOL!!!! I dreamed that mom was in the hopsital and that they were having a mexican cooking competition among all of the patients.

That is hilarious!!!!

Good morning everyone. Much too warm here. Today's forecast high is 71. The good news is we finally start cooling off with Saturday's forecast high of 45 and low of 29. We've had a few frosts already but looking forward to nice freeze.

We don't really celebrate Halloween. We live on the side of a mountain with few neighbors and no kids. In 15 years here, we've never had a trick or treater.

Have a blessed day.

I know I have mentioned this a year or two ago but worth repeating for anyone who missed it. I mentioned my neighbors decorating for Christmas on Halloween night, well my uncle had them beat about 6 years ago. He put up his Christmas tree in mid October!!! Most of my family kind of freaked out but I was very proud of him!!! No one made mean comments toward him, just was a little shocked is all. Lol! I think his kids enjoyed it though. He was handing out candy on Halloween night to the kids with a fully decorated lit up Christmas tree glistening through the front window. :D

He passed away in 2012. I sure miss him, we had the best time at his house on Christmas Eve!!!
