What a wonderful weekend....

Christmas shows, Christmas shopping, some cooking, preparing for Thanksgiving....

just a bunch of reminders of why I love this time of year.

Good evening everyone. I ended up spending the entire day cleaning the house, it really needed it. That dust from the construction gets in to every nook & cranny. I'm glad that's over with. My back hurts and I'm exhausted so I'm going to turn in soon. I just read through the posts quick, I'll try & catch up tomorrow. I will be keeping you all in my prayers. See you in the morning ~

Merry Monday!! Long day yesterday, I ended up doing some shopping online after work. Finally making some progress with gifts.

Today I have some more cleaning to do . I have had to d my deep cleaning over a few days. it's not possible with my toddler and work etc otherwise. Fingers crossed decorations come down from the loft tonight so I can start!

Have fun with the decorating, would love to see pictures when you are done. Are you doing a "theme" ? I just put up what ever I have in the box downstairs. When my kids were that age they got to "help" with toy vacuums, aprons on. Hands in sink washing dishes, which later turned into washing the floor since it was wet anyway. Would line up the kitchen chairs in the living room and they played train with stuffed toys while the floor dried. It was fun.

I have cleaning to do today too, some baking and a bit of running around. All that provided I do not get called into work.

The grand, final Milestone of the 2014 Countdown season arrives tomorrow.
The 90 percent Home Stretch marker to Christmas Day.
(Wow. Milestone number 18 of 18. Where did the time go?)

The new numbers, to start the week:
Days to Thanksgiving: 10 (SINGLE DIGITS TOMORROW!)
Days to Christmas Day: 37 (Five weeks from the day after tomorrow!)


A bit warmer yesterday, but it came with evening precipitation.
Today should be wet as well, but even warmer.
Currently, we observe 44 degrees here on our back door thermometer and a light drizzle is falling.

Snowing again this morning, I just may have to break down and get some boots !
Now that cake competition is in the past I can relax and work on other things.
Cleaning and laundry first today...well, breakfast and visiting you all over a cup of tea was first. Now I will get busy and pop in here from time to time.

Good Morning, MMC!!!!!! It's going to be a cold day here with a high temp in the mid 20's. We got about 2 inches of snow and thankfully the roads and sidewalks stayed warm enough for it to melt as it hit them during most of it. So there was only a dusting on them to be swept off this morning. It looks like we may see some more snow showers before the day is over though. Not a whole lot on my agenda for today. Just going to work on cleaning the apartment in preparation for decorating and Thanksgiving. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!
