still not found, I fear they went with the boxes to the thrift store. There were so many I wanted to watch. My family is sad because some were movies that they grew up with.

Thanks HMG! I think he did have a good day! I got there to deliver his cake & they weren't home. Figured they were out to eat so I left a note saying I hoped he left room for some cake. Well, just as I was leaving they pulled in & sure enough they were out to eat. AND had dessert. Lol! But while I was there my sister came, then my nephew, then my other sister, then my BIL ~ he had lots of visitors & everyone got a piece of pineapple upside down cake! (still warm)

Good evening,

It has been a very emotional one here tonight, I lost it completely when I tucked JP in for bed. That is when Sidney always jumped in bed and cuddled with him. Every single night since he was a kitten.
At this point, we just feel like we should not celebrate Christmas, we are not done decorating, we have yet to do any shopping, and losing Sidney 2 weeks before Christmas is just the icing on the cake. Sidney had so much presence in this house, it just doesn't feel the same without him. He was the personality, and the "joker" of all the animals. He was always the first one to greet us at the door when we got home from any where. He greeted us every morning when he heard we were awake, he stuck up for JP when JP would get in trouble by meowing back at us when we were yelling at JP. HE was truly a one of a kind cat, the best cat ever.

I am just very emotional tonight, and venting, we just need a big dose of Christmas spirit at this point.

My heart goes out to you! Losing a pet is the pitts! I was devastated when we had to put Buster down & he was 18 years old! I'm sure you feel like you were robbed of many more years with Sidney. I hope each day gets better for all of you! Sending many hugs, thoughts & prayers!

Good Morning, MMC!!!!! It looks like it's going to be another chilly overcast day here with a high in the mid 30's. My goal today is to finish shopping for my niece and nephew in Seattle so I can get the 2nd and hopefully final box shipped to them. I also need to get some laundry and cleaning done. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

Good Morning MMC !!!

First batch of raisin bread rising in the oven, only 5 batches to go!

All our snow is gone, the tree is not decorated yet, decorations have to be put up outside, I am sooo behind! Our big family celebration is on Saturday (that is what all the raisin bread is for, mom gives everyone a loaf every Christmas).
I think that we will do the decorating on Sunday while enjoying the worlds biggest Christmas party !

Nasty day yesterday.
Cold, no sun and a never-ending rain. Had to walk the dog in it and dry him off with a towel.
(Never put a dog away wet!)
Hopefully, today will be better, but it has started off damp and still cold at 35 degrees here in central NC.

Good morning MMC! Not much going on around here today. Just work. Ho hum! After work today I'm going to bring the meal over to my friend. After I realized there was gluten in the gravy packet I put in the Pot Au Feu ~ I'm now also going to make "baked chicken" for my friend & her daughter who are both gluten free. Last night I also made some PB balls, dipped in chocolate for them since they have no gluten in them. I really do feel for anyone who has to be GF, b/c it is a bit of a pain! Lol! I know there are bigger sections in stores now with GF products, but I didn't have much in my house to work with! Soooo - hopefully all will be good. Other than that, no major plans for the evening except laundry. Yuck!

It's been really busy again. Nancy's mom seems to be improving a bit, so we're feeling better about that. We're still trying to get decorated and get shopping done. And the IT guys are in our plant offices upgrading the servers, so the office is upside down.

Aside from that, it's just another lazy southern morning, feet propped up, sipping on a mint julep. :lol:

Happy pines day everyone! My goodness I slept awful last night and I woke up to a bad fever 103.2 and chills and misery. After I got my flu shot on october1st! So I am quarantined to my bedroom until I get into the Dr tomorrow to make sure what I have. Anyway can you all believe it is a mere 2 weeks from today to Christmas Eve...man why is it that time flies when you are having fun! I am just glad I only had 2 more days of work anyway. I hate to miss work because I even if I am sick, even when I am very sick because I feel like I am putting everyone else in a bind, but the last 2 weeks there have been so many others sick too, I just wonder how this good this flu shot is anyway, I mean I guess I could have a few others things, but this feels like the flu. and it is really really bad everywhere.
Can't tell you what the temps are because I Have not been outside yet today but it is warm im sure,suppose to get up to 50F today and 55 tomorrow. well I better sign off I will try to stay here as often as possible since I will be in bed for a while! Have a great humpday everyone!
