Thank you Snowflake. I'm sick as a dog. I have a few things to do around the house but I'm going to try and head back to bed at some point. I'm hoping the Airborne will give my immune system a boost.

Well I survived the blood test. It actually turned out to be not bad at all. I've always had to have a blood draw to check my A1C level but they had the fingertip test there. So it was just a small poke to my middle finger and they had the results in 3 minutes. It was a little bit elevated but not bad enough to start me on meds yet thankfully. So I remain the only person in my family whose not technically a diabetic yet.

Today is my 25th wedding anniversary. Can't believe I'm sick. My poor husband! We have plans to go out to dinner at a fancy schmancy restaurant. My girls all took off of work so that they could go with us. I feel bad to cancel so I'm going to rest today and try and pull myself together this evening!

Keep pumping those fluids and get as much rest as you can.
I find hot tea with honey and a couple squirts of lemon juice to be very soothing.

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

What a big weekend we had!

Friday evening, Jacob went to the movies with a friend, and the girls went shopping, so Jim & I worked on the Camaro. We have tires on it!! Ok, the tires are more like the ones the Old Man used on "A Christmas Story"; they were once made of rubber, and they once held air. But we can now move it out of the dark spot in the shop, and into the light. It looks like a car again! We put the steering wheel back in it, and worked on getting the dash pad to look good. I'm tickled with our progress!

I worked on the Camaro more Saturday morning, then I went home to cut the grass (since Holiday's wife-work-ethic wasn't passed on the Nancy :wink: ). After that, we had a HUGE fish fry that most of Bellville came to. I don't eat fried fish, but we had some good fellowship.

Yesterday, we took Mrs. Hilda to this sketchy-looking Chinese place that she likes. The food was actually pretty good. Whew! Then we visited with my mom when she got home from the beach.

Now it's crunch week, with school finals, Jacob's band's gig this weekend, and Elizabeth's recital this weekend. Lord, help us through!

Thanks, Buddy!!! It was okay. The doctor's office was crazy behind and slow.

Mom is still feeling off. Doctor called her in some migraine meds to try but can't get them until next week.

Good morning, everyone!

It seems that everyone is ready for yet another work week. There have been plenty of posts this morning - that's good thing!

I awoke this morning without a job, but received a call just after 7am for a school I haven't been to in a few weeks. Since it was high school, I accepted the job and then had to make the 45-50 minute drive. I'd prefer closer, but I need the work, so I can't complain too much!

I hope everyone had a great weekend. It was quiet on my end. Kim and I did not do a whole lot. We went out for dinner with some of Kim's friends on Friday night. We arrived home at about 10:30 and I was ready for bed. We did much the same on Saturday. Yesterday was spent as an all-around relaxing day. Well, mostly. I went for a track workout in the morning by myself. I have been running a lot recently - along with going to the gym - but this was the first time that I had done a full track workout by myself. I really enjoyed it! I'll probably do another next weekend.

I hope everyone has gotten off to a good start this week. Thus far, I only have one shift booked (Wednesday), so I am really hoping to receive a bunch more calls tonight. The more work the better, especially since there is only about a month's worth of supply teaching remaining.

Good morning MMC! I'm not having much luck getting caught up this morning! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend & a Happy Mothers Day!

We spent time with both Moms yesterday. Thankfully the rain stayed away! My Mom was actually not feeling well so she didn't walk over to my brothers cook out, but my sisters & I went to visit her & she sat out on the deck with us for awhile. She just has a bad cold....that everybody else seems to have. UGH! I got my 1st (longer) bike ride in yesterday. It was great!
