[Holiday]

Today was an okay day--I hope you all had good days as well!! It was so hot! Hopefully tomorrow will be cooler--sounds like less humidity here! How was everyone's day?

Hope today is a cooler weather day!!! It's absolutely gorgeous here today!!!

Plans are to relax and read before bed! Early bedtime-last day of work before river long weekend again. I am looking forward to getting away, but I was telling a friend earlier today that summer is just so busy with trips and everyone out of town and catching up on work that fall feels much less busy...and I'm looking forward to that routine in just a few months! Hope you have a great night! Goodnight everyone!

Beautiful day on the beach today, we spent about 5 hours there. I spent most of my time cowering under our beach umbrella from Monsieur Soleil. It is hard work staying this pasty shade of white. Spent a total of nearly 4 hours on the road so it was a full day. I thought it was about 11pm, but it was only 9.
Tomorrow is our big trip to the Bronx Zoo, I am really nervous about the drive, I have never liked city driving and driving close to NYC is freaking me out a little.
I am going to get some ice cream, and then head to bed.

Sounds like fun!!! Post pictures and stop by New York City if you can, what a crazy but awesome city! I understand the jitters though, we park outside the city and take the train in. I'm sure your day will be full just going to the zoo! Get plenty of pictures!

A little late post as I have just returned from hockey...

As you may recall, I posted about a massive Christmas Village needing a Christmas-loving owner in the midwest. Well, I have been in contact with the current owner, and they said that they would definitely be interested in contacting someone who would be interested in the village.

I also made a similar post in the Christmas Decorations forum, but I don't know how many people visit there.



Is anyone interested? Made? Snowflake? I know there are a few other midwesterners, too! I would love to see a friend add to their collection!

Days to the Season: 114
Days to Christmas Day: 156

And that two-weeks-away-Milestone is of course, the 100-day Season Window, through which we will enter a double-digit count landscape as the approach of Christmas Season 2015 acellerates.
(Isn't this exciting?)


Is it still VERY humid here?
Yes.
Are the temperatures still in the 90's?
Yes.
Are we getting those late afternoon thunderstorms that don't help much?
Yes.
Do you get the picture?
Yes. I'll be you do!

For now, we commence mid week at 75 degrees, here.


Have a Wonderful Wednesday and a Practically Perfect Pines Day visit this evening.

Good morning MMC! Happy Hump/Pines Day!!! Hope everyone is having a good day!! As I mentioned before it's absolutely perfect here this morning. Sunshine, 64º, low humidity! Lovin it. Our high is 79º today, but the humidity is supposed to stay away which makes a huge difference!

I didn't get to go shopping after work last night, which was fine with me...but now I need to go today. Thankfully my sister has a shirt I am borrowing for family pictures, so I only need to go to the grocery tonight. That's not so bad! After work yesterday my sis & I trimmed Moms shrubs, then I ran to the lake to drop a few things off, went home to mow lawn & pull weeds in the grotto & then I was about worn out! BUT Gracie wanted to play ball, so we did! It was such a nice night to be outside!

My sis & I were texting back & forth this morning contemplating playing hooky today! But darn it anyway, here I am at work. LOL

It's my last day of work before going on mini-vacation to the river again with friends. I'm looking forward to that, but I've got a long day ahead of me!
