Good morning ... Fall and the holidays are getting closer!!! I was at the grocery store last night and the whole front of the outside was filled with mums and bagged cinnamon scented pinecones. Inside the store the seasonal isle is full of halloween candy.

Well we signed the contracts for the new house last night. Nerves and excitement are kicking into high gear. Excited for a large house but nervous about a larger mortgage payment. We have outgrown this house and do need to get a larger one but I will miss this house and our wonderful neighbors.

Well I hope everyone has a wonderful day .

Congratulations Minta, I hope all goes well with your new home!
I'm seeing lots Fall & Halloween in the stores as well, its so exciting!
I hope you have a wonderful day!

Good Morning MMC !!

feels like fall in the air here too, cooler temps and drizzzle rain the last few days, even spotted a tree starting to put on its fall makeup. The potted mums have arrived at our store, will not be long before the pumpkins are out for sale too.

work was hard yesterday because my body was still on vacation mode and did not like having to work all day again. But it is good to be back and always grateful that I have a job to go to that I enjoy.

I want to get busy here at home cleaning everything before starting my fall decorating and planning my Christmas decorating!

Good morning and Happy Thursday Star, hope you have a wonderful day!

Good Wednesday & Pines Day morning, my Christmas friends!

I went to a meeting last night for a community fund-raising group. We're planning to buy new Christmas lights for the poles going through Bellville. We have some used lights that we got from one of the other cities when they got new ones, but now they're pretty ratty. New ones are pretty expensive, though. We're looking at $500 per pole for a simple snowflake. Sheesh!

Still, it's fun to be making Christmas plans!

I hope y'all have a great day! :D

We have "adopt a highway" and "adopt a garden" trends around these parts, I wonder how "adopt a pole" would work in your community. We've never tried it here, but I imagine there are people who would sponsor a pole and have their name dog-tagged to it in tribute. If anybody can sell the idea in your neck of the woods, it would be you!

We have a small town with the same name not far from here and I hiked there several years ago with my husband. Wound up clicking photos at the lake in the gorge and then noticed one of the rocks moved and I zoomed in and it was a small bear fishing with his paws. Instead of clicking on the video, I started backing up and so did my husband. Usually when there's a cub, there's a mama bear not far off. Instead of braving it, we decided to call it a day. My heart just picked up its beat while I started typing - seems like the memory still has me going.

Good Morning, Eve-of-the-Eve Awaiters.

'Tis the Eve of the Eve, alright.
Weekend Eve is tomorrow.

But this is today:
Days to the Season: 78
Days to Christmas Day: 120

Under three weeks left, you know -- until we pass through the 100-day Christmas Day Window and enter the double double-digit zone, after which things will really start to accelerate until, before you know it, we will once again be within our glorious and much coveted Christmas Season!
(Can you feel the excitement, yet?)

Still nice, albeit a bit damp yesterday, at least in the morning.
Today has dawned cloudy and at 70 degrees here.
Hopefully, a nice day will be on tap.

Have a Thrilling Thursday, Folks!

That darn camel kept me locked up in the kitchen all day working on next weeks special. So I didn't get to catch up here. Hopefully tomorrow. I have to tell you though, you don't want to miss the Pines next week!!

Goodnight, MMC!!!
I had a meeting last night and when I got home I was too tired to talk so I missed the Pines gathering and I chilled with the O'Cat instead in honour of National Dog Day. HaHa.

Morning MMC!
Fall is starting to creep in and you can feel it in the air. I went for my morning run this morning wearing a short sleeved shirt and the moment i step onto my driveway i wanted to turn back around and grab a hoodie but i know once my body starts moving i will warm up and adjust but boy it took a few minutes for that to happen. After my shower i even made myself my first cup of tea in months.
It warms up to the mid 80's by the afternoon so that's nice and we usually have a Indian summer for a week or two when the temps rise just when we think summer is gone for sure.

I'm trying to make plans for us this weekend but it seems as though i can't come up with much right now. I'm taking Lizzybeth to have her hair trimmed and i may get a manicure as a special treat for myself. I'm going to attend a church banquet Saturday for those who are interested in joining the choir. I'm not the best singer but i can carry a tune and i figured joining would be another social outlet for me. I usually don't do much outside of doing things with my girls and one of my sister's and her family. My friend/co-worker has been on me for over a year telling me I'm to young to live like a hermit so I'm trying.

Anyone making plans yet for the weekend?

Morning Fall-Loving Friends! AC is off and windows are open! 1% or so of trees outside are beginning to change colors...it's wonderful and exciting. The anticipation for September is keeping me going during the busy season! I'm working hard today and tomorrow to finish up teaching music strong and then I can FINALLY settle in for a normal fall routine. It's been months since I had that with travel and other obligations. Fall for me begins Saturday, and I just can't wait. I hope you all have a great Thursday!!!!

Good morning DYHWIH!
Hope you have a nice a day!

It's been dipping down to about 12 (53) at night so my husband has the covers pulled up to his neck and I'm basking on top of the sheets and comforter with the window wide open and no fans. Lovely sleeping weather for me. It's supposed to warm up again next week.
I'm heading to work soon, just poppin' in for my daily dose of "MERRY".
My dad used to sing in the choir, the cancer treatments took a toll on his saliva glands so he can't hit those baritone notes anymore. Hope you enjoy it!

Good morning Ladybugkisses!
I'm loving the cooler temperatures in the morning. It's still warming up in to the 80's here every day as well.
No big plans this weekend, we're just going to spend some time with my parents since they will be leaving for a trip to Florida next week.
Hope you enjoy the rest of of the week and have a wonderful weekend ahead!

LOL!! Uh-oh, Gracie!! I think there's some stories we are missing ;)

She is a thief - I picked tomatoes Tues night & I put them in a cooler outside & filled the cooler with water to get rid of any little black bugs before I brought them in the house. Gracie must have decided to go tomato bobbing. I had tomatoes in the driveway, in the front lawn...and Gracie had a wet face! Hmmm
I made corn on the cob & put the husks & later the cobs in a bag on the patio table to throw in the field at Moms - she got on the table & we had husks & cobs all over the back yard!
And I can't forget to mention clothes pins. She LOVES to steal them & chew on them every chance she gets! If I have the clothes pin bag on the patio table - she gets her nose right up there & I find them chewed up in the yard!.
Last night one of Jims UPS socks was laying in the middle of our tv room floor. Hmmmm!

I bet that was both a fascinating and frightening experience!

Charlie and Gary are both rescues. Charlie, the black and white kitty, was found at my job in really bad shape. He was super skinny, matted hair and had trouble breathing. He went to the vet 3 times to get well. At one point the vet hinted he might not make it but here he is 11 years later! Gary, the black kitty, managed to get himself stuck in our car engine 3 times! He would get in there and cry for help. I think he planned it all along knowing we would finally take him in! Ha ha! My neighbor calls me Dr. Doolittle because of all that animals that show up at my door all the time. lol! All my dogs are rescues too!

Oh yeah! I know we have talked about that show before being our favorite! But my little Maris is NOTHING like Maris on Frasier! Lol! She is complete opposite of her personality, full of life and super happy! :D

They are lucky to have found such a loving home!!!

Totally behind--yikes what a week! SO glad to be with you tonight! QVC has a holiday cookbook on right now! Enjoying a little Christmas as I do work!

Hope you are having a good week!
