Good afternoon, guys! I am checking in briefly from work before going to have some lunch. Weather over here is dry and the more mild than it was yesterday. The autumn colors are really becoming evident right now. It's beautiful.

Have a great day, everyone.

Hi there!

Weather here in the UK is unusually mild - agree on the autumn colours, noticed the vibrant colours in the leaves on the ground yesterday whilst walking the dog throught the local park!

Have a great day!

I haven't seen the Nutcracker ballet, but I'm familiar with some of the music---and this year I discovered TWO ragtime versions of music from the Nutcracker! One of them especially makes me smile whenever I hear it.
I highly recommend seeking out a Nutcracker Ballet performance! It doesn't have to be a professional troupe; Elizabeth's school puts on a wonderful show!

You've piqued my curiosity about a ragtime version of "Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy"! ;)

Me, too! Do you have any idea what you will watch first?
My favorite is Rudolph so I may watch that first although I like to save that one more for when we get into the season. Home Alone 2 is one of my favorites also so I may have to see if I watch that first. I have about 60 Christmas DVDS (cartoons/movies) besides trying to watch what's live on during the season. Christmas overdose?

Happy Halloween Eve guys!!!

Ok, heres the dilemma; I coach my sons football (soccer) team and tomorrow is our annual Halloween party. Every year we have a best pumpkin competition, and this year I'm torm between carving the team crest into the pumpkin or something more traditional...

What do you yhink guys?

The Nutcracker is an absolute favourite of mine ever since I was a little girl! The ballet performance is magical. I love listening to the music and Tchaikovsky is a large part of my playlist!

Hmmm I liek the idea of the team crest. Is their any way you can merge both ideas. I'm not sure what the crest is but can you incorporate a traditional type halloween character into it. For example if the crest has birds you can change it bats. Something along those lines if you know what I mean. Good luck!

EDIT : Ah I've just noticed the photo of your crest. Maybe you can make it monster like in some way. Bat wings or witch's hat or vampire's cloak!

Excellent choices!
*No such thing* =]

I have many Christmas DVD's, too. Adrian teases me that they're on TV all the time, and I watch them there, that I don't really need them. He's also the guy that helps add to my collection each year! ;)

Happy Halloween Eve Eve!
Have fun at the Halloween party!
I say do both! If you have time, and two pumpkins, why not?! :)

Mine were parallelograms! But I kept making 'em, because I enjoyed it, and a few years ago someone complimented me by saying, "Wow, your stitches are so even!" And remember, if you're making an afghan from a printed pattern and it isn't very even, sometimes it's the pattern. And furthermore, usually an afghan in use is wrapped around someone, not all spread out---so who notices if it's not a perfect rectangle or square? :D
Very true!! After several very curvy sc or dc afghans I learned the Granny Stitch. Makes a much more even pattern. Though like you said...doesn't really matter!! ;)

Thank you for the update. Glad to hear she was stable overnight.
Continued prayers <3
Thank you!

Thanks, Holiday~
The roads weren't too bad, I took it slow.
The rain/sleet melted most of the snow. And it was slightly above freezing when I left.
All should be well if it stays that way!
xx
I'm glad they weren't too bad. Hopefully they just get better as the day goes on!! xx
