Soooooooooooo jealous! We dont get this in the UK :-(

In the UK MOvies24 switch on Nov 01st to Christmas24 showing christmas movies all day till January. They are a mixture of hallmark and ABC and other network movies. I can't wait for the switch on Sunday.

Also True Movies has already switched to True Christmas since mid October.

I think the Movies24 sounds like an awesome channel having a combination of Hallmark & ABC ~ Awesome! I hope you can get those channels tsah!

My favorite is Rudolph so I may watch that first although I like to save that one more for when we get into the season. Home Alone 2 is one of my favorites also so I may have to see if I watch that first. I have about 60 Christmas DVDS (cartoons/movies) besides trying to watch what's live on during the season. Christmas overdose?

Ok, heres the dilemma; I coach my sons football (soccer) team and tomorrow is our annual Halloween party. Every year we have a best pumpkin competition, and this year I'm torm between carving the team crest into the pumpkin or something more traditional...

What do you yhink guys?

The Season start date (Nov 13) is rapidly approaching. It's time to begin serious thought about our five-day Special Post series! In years past this has always been a top highlight of the days immediately preceeding the Christmas Season beginning.

Now, we already have one signed up: Christmasstar, who requested any date. I assigned her to Nov. 10, Day 3 before the Season.
I will assign Nov. 9 to Binger, their long-standing traditional day, unless they want a change. Bing?

That leaves Nov. 8, Nov. 11 and Nov 12 open for any first come-first served writers.

Check out last year's thread to get a feel for what this is like, if you haven't been here in years past. Great fun, wonderful sentiment and a perfect lead-in to Season Day one!

Fantastic. I am excited for yet another year of magical Special Posts. If need be, I can help out, but I suspect that many will jump at this opportunity!

Good Morning, Friends.

Things are really starting to get frightening.
Just take a look at the latest numbers batch:
Days to Halloween: 2 (Why! That's the DAY AFTER TOMORROW!!)
Days to the Season: 15 (TWO WEEKS FROM TOMORROW!)
Days to Christmas Day: 57 (EIGHT weeks from tomorrow!)

(Things are starting to get as scary as Carl's haunted wing tour last night!)


Warmer yesterday with lots of humidity. The rain tapered off somewhat but was still present. I'm looking forward to a clearer and sunnier day today.
It has begun at 65 degrees here in our part of MMC. It's very damp but no sign of rain.

That tour was downright frightening. I didn't know that Carl could dress so convincingly in so many costumes!

I've made taco soup but never chili soup, I'll have to look up the recipe!

Jim always complains b/c Hallmark is the only thing on our tv - ever! But he gets sucked in sometimes too. And it's not like he's not in the sun room watching his 60" screen tv anyway!

Yes, we did! But it has already melted.
It snowed from 4:00 PM last evening until early this morning! It was a mixture of sleet, snow, rain, etc. Nasty to travel in, but still pretty.

Actually, I think I like Taco Soup just a little better than chili! but it's a close tie. I am shocked that you have never made chili!!

Come enjoy it!
It was pretty at first, but quickly became windy, icy, the type that hurts when it hit your face
But when I was home, and sitting in front of the fireplace, and watching it from the cathedral window, it was lovely!

I am very jealous. Our weather is still much too warm for this time of year.
