Don't you just love the lights at night! So magical!Good morning MMC! First time I've been on here in the morning in a while. In the middle of the busiest stretch of the year for me. No rest for the weary, unfortunately. I hope everyone has a wonderful day today! Even though I'm tired I'm still joyful that the season is here and that my drive home now includes Christmas lights!

I made myself a single-serving eggnog last night. Had a gingerbread cookie and a shortbread cookie with it. Mmmmmm!

My husband was just telling me his coworkers mother wants to sell her Dept. 56 Christmas Village collection. He wants to get it for me, he knows how much I always wanted one. He's going to get more details today. I hope it works out, I would love to have it ♥

Good morning MMC! Happy Tuesday! December 8th already! Geesh! Had a busy night last night. Went to Moms after work & put up her outside lights & garland. Then home to collect my pumpkins & brought them to the dumpster at work...back home to put up more outside lights. We lit up my brothers memorial tree in the back yard. We weren't able to do that last year b/c of the mud from remodeling & I really missed it! It definitely got bigger!!! We had so many strands of lights not working & I decided to try to fix one - something I said I was never going to do again....what a pain! It's working but watch, we'll put them on a tree outside & they will burn out after a week. Ha ha! I watched The Santa Claus after we quit on lights & that's about it for the night! It was so nice outside, it was a good time to do it! It's supposed to be another nice day here too with a high of 51º!

It's a very nice, chilly morning today. Much like Crown, however, it's supposed to be in the mid-70's by this weekend. I'm hoping for a cold Christmas, but we've had some warm enough for shorts LOL!

I'm finding out about that the hard way. I have a few strings of C7 lights for one of our trees. I checked each strand and replaced all the dead bulbs before I took each string outside. Put 'em on the tree---more dead bulbs, so I fixed 'em. Now the entire top string is dead except for ONE bulb at the plug end. I may put minis on that tree next year instead---they don't seem to burn out as fast!

Crown, you will like this: I found a gift card from last year, so I got myself the Percy Faith CD set "Complete Music of Christmas." I was playing it on the way to work this morning. Gorgeous!

Yeah I really don't see us even having a cold Christmas this year in the northeast. I doubt you guys will. Last year it was 60 degrees when I woke up Christmas morning but at least it dropped into the 30s by evening. Was a very weird feel. I just hope it chills off to near normal by Christmas.Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Wow. We are a movin' along! Those Christmas songs and specials are certainly playing and being enjoyed! I am quite behind in my movies though. I really need to pick it up! I still haven't watched personal favourites and classics such as The Muppet Christmas Carol, Trapped In Paradise, Christmas Vacation, Deck The Halls, Elf, and a few others!
