A little busy. Everything is down and there is still some cleaning left over for tomorrow. I don't like the cleaning part, either. Good luck with your removal, too, made.

Hey gang! Had every intention of coming here to bring in the New Year. I saw one of us post Happy New Year on Facebook and remembered that we celebrate the Eastern Time Zone here....darn.

Low key night here! Couple of movies and crockpot lasagna for us. Doc and Bambina are already in bed. I'm going to do some work and head to bed in about an hour or so.

Shopping tomorrow. Dillards has some huge bargains tomorrow, so I usually buy enough clothes to last me through the year (or until the next size is needed). As for New Years Resolutions....I plan on eating as much as I possibly can.

I've tried it the other way for years with no success, so maybe a little reverse psychology will work on Father Time.

I have discovered that things expand when heated, so we don't have to loose weight, we just have to cool down!

I am with you, I can't be without my tree yet, the PCB's would destroy me at this point if I did that. As of right now the earliest the first tree comes down will be January 13 this year. (My tradition is not to take down or shut off any of my lights until after my birthday. My last day can never be my birthday (Jan. 7) so my outdoor lights are shut off after being lit up for the night of January 8. indoor stay on until they are down, and the window candles come down the first day of spring.)

No, it sounds like you've given it some serious thought!

I think most of it stems from my childhood, and asking/begging my parents to keep the tree up through my birthday. It only happened once when I was a kid, now I don't have to worry about it because I keep it up as long as I want. cheesy

I love this thread! I am not ready to take down my tree either. Maybe next weekend. .we'll see. I just love the cozy feeling of the lights!

My wife and I started listening to the Christmas show recordings from 2013 this past September and still didn't get anywhere close to hearing all.

Now I've recorded nearly triple that amount in 2014. Heck, sorting all the recordings into iTunes playlists will probably take until this September!

DAR.fm could be an addiction. However, I know I can quit anytime I wish.

I love the Stooges, when I was single my checks were printed with scenes from them. I actually prefer the Marx Brothers comedy over the Stooges, but still love them.

I too prefer the Marx Brothers...but i am partial to this tie even though i rarely wear them...

Just got the countdown dates entered into my iPhone calander and we got our "time capsule note" put in the tree box in the attic. Both boys were here! It'll be the last one that both of them are here with us for as The oldest will be in his own home with his new wife starting their own traditions next year. Love seeing the milestones through the year. Makes time go by faster.

I have been enjoying reading posts from everyone checking in on the first day of 2015.
27 of us have been here today already!

That is great so many have come in today, I love it when there are so many friends posting here.
I am starting the New Year off trying to be here more, the month of December I was barely here, and boy did I miss it.
