Christmas Countdown - 2015

Good Morning, MMC!!! We are off to a beautiful start with a temp of 64 right now on our way to 70 degrees. Unfortunately it looks like some storms are going to be moving in later this morning. Boo!!! They are trying to cut the grass in my apartment complex before it starts though. So I had to close everything up because my allergies are already going crazy. Not to much on my agenda for today. Will just be calling my insurance and battling it out with them again about the doctor they assigned as my primary doctor. There are several here in town but they put me with one on the west side of Indy in one of the worst neighborhoods. I've called twice and submitted 3 requests online to change it but they still haven't done it. I might run to Wal-Mart too. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

We spent all day Saturday at the local university's Art Fest. The kids both performed, with Elizabeth's ballet class demonstrating a dance from the ballet a couple weeks ago, and Jacob's band playing a few songs. What a great day!

I helped my brother all yesterday afternoon plant his garden. It rained on us the whole time, but he's helped me so much with the Camaro, it's the least I could do for him.

April 15th is fast approaching, so, as a public accountant, Nancy is getting a little crazy...or crazier (don't tell her I said that!). :mrgreen:

Well I was supposed to meet the territory manager for a floor company at one of the grocery stores here in town tonight at 10pm for an interview. I sat there for an hour and the guy never showed up. The lady at the customer service counter said he did the same thing last night and that no one has been in to do their floors for days. (Which you could clearly tell) If I was them, I would be finding another company.

How frustrating, so sorry about that Made!

Good Morning, Folks!

New weeks bring new hopes and dreams.
They also bring new count numbers.

Numbers such as these:
Days to the Season: 214
Days to Christmas Day: 256

And the alert among us will quickly determine that we are now EXACTLY two weeks away from 200-day Season Window.
Not only that, but we are now UNDER two weeks off from the 1/3 Christmas Day Milestone.
(Can you believe that in 2 short weeks we will be down into the 100's for our Season count? I can. But only because our chart says so. Wow!)


Another nice day yesterday, for my sister's birthday.
(My nieces and I treated her to dinner at an Italian restaurant nearby called "Mia Francesca". Tasty food and pleasant atmosphere.)
Today should be dry before a good chance of rain returns for Tuesday.
Currently, we record 54 degrees here in central North Carolina.

Here's a thought to ponder upon, have you ever wonder just how little you can walk away from Home Depot and or Lowes with and you have just spent a hundred dollars... I mean, come on... my gosh, have you tried to price out a home improvement project lately, cha-ching, big time. Like take the cost of materials a x's by 2 and that's the labor... It's crazy. The wife asks me now a days, how much you going to spend, and without hesitation, right off the top - about 100.00 dollars give or take...

Next, let's talk about how much it costs to go to the grocery store.......

We just re-did a bedroom & closet & it's probably going to be $1,500. Paint, carpet, mattress & box spring, new bedding & window treatment, total closet redo. I'm glad it's finally done. We've made do with that room for 14 years & at last it's finished!

Well, Daddy spent yesterday afternoon at the ER & he has gout on top of all the other issues...; Mom said he might as well get a job at the hospital! His new gout meds can thin the blood & cause heart rate issues---just the things he dealt with last week. He has a doctor appt. on Wednesday and hopefully all will be well.

After a lunch on Saturday for SIL's upcoming marriage, we spent the rest of the weekend on the bedroom/closet redo mentioned above. It really looks good! Now we will concentrate on deep cleaning the rest of the house for the out-of-state family coming in for the wedding on Saturday.

Good morning everyone!
I had a little bit of trouble posting here this morning but it seems to be fine now. Not too much going on for me today, I've just been working on my daily chores. I have to run to the pet store later to pick up a few things. I'm also going to stop at Barnes and Noble while I'm out. I have to go to a baby shower next month and the host requested that everyone bring a book for the baby instead of a card. They want us to sign the inside of the book, I love that idea.
