I hope your Sunday is a good one. I'm having a nice day! We won an online auction that we were eager to win, and our winning bid was a lot less than our maximum! Yay! And I got an email from a friend I hadn't heard from in a few years.

The cactus IS beautiful. I'll try to get a picture of her when she's in bloom this winter. I call her "she" because a few years ago I planted some cuttings and gave them as gifts, so she's a mommy.

Happy Sunday!
It's going to be warm and humid today with a high of around 85 degrees. No big plans. I would like to take a ride to Trader Joe's at some point but other than that it should be a relaxing day. We'll probably spend some time by the pool. I'm going to skip my pot of sauce today and we're going to grill chicken and ribs for dinner.

Rise, shine, twinkle, then focus on today's numbers.......which become more shocking by the day:
Days to the Season: 110
Days to Christmas Day: 152

And perhaps the biggest shock is the fact that as of tomorrow, we will be just SINGLE DIGITS away from the 100-day Season Window and the beginning of a DOUBLE-DIGIT Season count.
(And then, can a double-digit Christmas Day count be very far behind?)
Wow, like sand through the hourglass..............


Pretty nice here yesterday with reduced humidity and somewhat lower temperatures.
(Sweating may clear the pores but I would just as soon not do it.)
Today should be nice as well. It has greeted us with a temp of 74 degrees here at this hour in the capital city.

While we were out yesterday enjoying our Christmas in July celebration we stopped by a restaurant to eat. They had on a local radio station that plays a mixture of pop and rock n roll music. We heard several songs from Aerosmith to Michael Jackson, then we heard Holly Jolly Christmas by Burl Ives!!! At first I thought it was an intro to a Christmas in July commercial but it wasn't, they played the whole song. It was confirmed by their website that they were playing one Christmas song each hour for Christmas in July. There were a couple of comments on their facebook page of confusion asking how come they just heard Santa Claus in Coming to Town. They were not hateful about it, just confused. Didn't confuse us, we loved it! One comment on there was of anger, "Stop playing Christmas music"! Bah humbug! That was our station for the rest of the day!

Happy Sunday friends! Not too much going on..we are supposed to have showers on and off so it will be a low key day! I need to do some grocery shopping.

I'm certain the migraine was induced from the campfire, but I had a great time so I can't complain. Starting to feel like my merry self again.

The weather is gray and sticky and could break out in showers and thunderstorms later, so it's a good day for relaxing. I had all sorts of good ideas for projects last night, but after getting up this morning, I have no energy for them. Maybe I'll get a little "zing" later in the day. With July almost over, I must get the Christmas projects rolling!

We celebrated CIJ last night with a Christmas episode of "Mrs. Brown's Boys." That was a lot of fun!

Throughout the summer, our Christmas cactus has been growing like crazy. I hope we get a lot of blossoms this winter. If she doesn't wear herself out with growing bigger!

hot day here and going to be an even hotter week.
Had a relaxing day, not feeling very well for most of, better now but still feeling off.
LittleCS was over doing her laundry
Getting things ready for my meeting tomorrow afternoon.
Dishes almost done, baking another batch of sourdough bread in the morning, it is the only bread we eat here now.
Was going to go for a walk but it is still a humidex of 31c outside so think I will just cuddle with the AC instead.
