Ahhhh, hello Christmas friends! Hectic morning for me... decided to clean out one of the toy boxes in preparation for the onslaught of Christmas toys and ended up being able to get rid of a bunch of JUNK! (Shhh, don't tell my kids!) Have to pick up the little guy shortly, but was just doing my online writing course, which I am loving! Wrote a new beginning to my story (possibly!) too... now I am just sitting down for the few minutes I have left!!!

Do you like writing? A few people have told me I should become a writer. I am not sure if I would ever be that great at it though.

Yes, the time does go very fast! My oldest was only a newborn when I joined and he's now quickly approaching 8!! How did that happen!?

You're welcome. I used to like writing myself as well, in both Dutch and English (maybe I should try picking it up again) so I am always happy to give some constructive feedback if needed. Time sure flies, especially if you're having a good time. So I guess that means that if you don't know where it went that is a good thing.

Take it from me that if you enjoy doing it you may as well give it a shot. You are bound to become the most successful in what you like to do. Combined with perseverance, of course.

Happy Rudolph Day!

Yes, in only TWO MONTHS we will be gathered around our Christmas Trees and celebrating the culmination of our favourite Season. To think, in less than two months, Rudolph will be performing his yearly duty and guiding Santa around the world. Until then, let us enjoy counting down. After all, the Christmas Season is only....

How far away, you ask? Let's look at the count!

Days to Halloween: 6 (LESS THAN A WEEK AWAY!)
Days to the Season: 19 (So long 20s, hello teens!)
Days to Christmas Day: 61 (Breakout your poodle skirts, we're nearing the 50s!)

The Autumn leaves are falling seemingly as fast as our countdown numbers here in Canada's Capital. As for the temperatures, they are a little warmer than seasonal. Currently, we sit at 11c/50f. The windchill, however, brings out down to 7c/45f. Even from inside, those 45km (27mph) wind gusts are quite fierce.

Even with the temperatures, I expect that everyone will be dressed warm at Kim's nephews' football game. They are making the drive from Cornwall to play against an east end Ottawa team. The boys' are 7-1. Today is their semifinal game! Let's hope the Cornwall Wildcats can continue their success!

The Packers could not have had a better bye week. Today will be filled with a bit of shopping and Christmas hunting. If you have the time, I suggest that you, too, find Christmas "Budding" in your area and share it with everyone via the Blossoms thread. It is the Most Wonderful Thread of the Year, and it commemorates the Most Wonderful Time of the Year. Sure, it's not officially the Season yet, but those Buds will certainly be in Full Bloom shortly!

Well, friends, whether you're watching football, spending time with your family, or doing some deeds, I hope that you all enjoy your day! Big thanks to Edge for filling in yesterday, and much more appreciation for him suggesting to split the dates! ...and, of course, let's all look forward to Crown's countdown return tomorrow!

I ordered a pair of ugly sweater Christmas pajamas last week, they came in yesterday.

I had to get a pair for myself after we bought them for LC at Target last week.
They are so ugly their fantastic. (No I won't model them, what goes on the Internet stays on the internet)

Bah ha ha ~ LOVE them!!!

Happy Sunday MMC!
I just finished baking brownies for my parents, they're stopping by soon for a cup of coffee and a quick visit. Not too much else going on here today, looking forward to a relaxing day. I'm pretty tired from the party last night. We had a great time but those kinds of things drain me. I'm such a homebody, lol. The party was in a ballroom in Queens. I didn't enjoy the ride, I get anxiety when I'm in or close to the city. Although I do have to admit the New York City skyline looks beautiful at night. My husband does business with the lumber company that had the party, they were celebrating their 50th anniversary. They ended up being a leading provider of scenic & construction materials for the motion picture and TV industries. Such an eclectic group of people there. There was an awesome band playing most of the night, out of no where they announced a special guest. The SugarHill Gang came out and played a few songs. Anyone remember Rappers Delight? So strange and random yet kind of cool. It was an interesting evening!
Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys the rest of the weekend!

Hope the brownies were yummy & you had a good visit. Sounds like you had a great time Saturday! FUN!

Thank you! He's trying to put on a brave front, but he's in bad shape. I had scheduled vacation days for tomorrow and Tuesday and he was to cover for me, but that's out of the question. He definitely needs to see the doctor tomorrow. He's so afraid of passing the cold along to me that he's keeping to himself today, poor guy.
