Christmas Countdown - 2016

Evening everyone and a happy Saturday! I've spend all day clearing out shed's and reorganizing, got lots done but not as much as i'd have liked due to a constant drizzle all day. Think I'll call it a day and grab a beer. Have a good one folks.

This is the friend that lost her dog unexpectedly a few months ago. So we are going to watch The Kentucky Derby and have dinner. The girls and I are going to go and pickup a little welcome gift for Molly some toys and maybe a bone. Hope you all have a great day!

Just a quick hello. I am covered in paint. Repainting the kitchen an regretting it somewhat I am exhausted! Hopefully we can wrap up soon and enjoy a quiet evening. Work tomorrow. Ugh not enough down time .

Morning my merry friends! I hope you all have an amazing day! Today is my mom's birthday, it just happens to fall right before mothers day this year. We're going to do visit her in a bit and then my wife might go out with her mom for a pre-mother's day dinner while I watch our little frostling. Looks to be a nice sunny day!

Another whoa ... a record player! Wonderful! I've read that more people are getting back into collecting music on vinyl. (We never stopped! We have a turntable upstairs plus one in the basement, where our lifetimes' accumulation of vinyl is shelved.) And there are plenty of wonderful old Christmas LPs out there.

Records/Vinyl is ongoing here and part of British culture. Our first one broke years ago so I really appreciate having one again. My father was a huge vinyl collector. You would love the record shops here. I particularly enjoy the old second hand shops (same with books). Before the kids I would spend my Saturdays browsing records or books Good times.

I bet you have an impressive collection! I am excited about getting Christmas LPs. There are two that stand out the most from my childhood - Salsol Orchestra Christmas and a Hawaiian one that I can't remember the title for. They were dad's favourites. I will have to ask my mum is she still has them!!!

Glad she is taking her meds. We are finally finished and just settling down to an easy dinner. Pizza, ribs and salad. Too tired to cook! Hope you, Har and Adi are having a lovely time.

If the Hawaiian album was "Santa's Gone Hawaiian"---I know where you can get a DVD of that. Send me a PM! I can send you a picture of the album cover to see if it jogs any memories.

Mr. and I combined have quite the eclectic collection! Large, but not huge. A very wide range of stuff---everything from the Beach Boys and Buddy Holly to barbershop quartets.

Glad she is taking her meds. We are finally finished and just settling down to an easy dinner. Pizza, ribs and salad. Too tired to cook! Hope you, Har and Adi are having a lovely time.

Thank you, car troubles have me stranded. So I cancelled my weekend plans in La Crosse with my family for Mother's Day.

Har & I are resting, she still had a negative reaction to the meds after a few hours. Thankfully it wasn't as severe with the smaller dosage, but she's shaking and not feeling well.
I will cook her some boiled hamburger for dinner, hopefully it will help settle her stomach. She hasn't eaten yet today, either.

I think a glass of wine and a movie are a good plan for tonight!

Well our plans of going to our friend's house had to be canceled due to my youngest daughter, Mia getting the stomach bug. Almost right after I posted this morning, the mom from where she stayed over called and said she got sick in their living room all over the carpet! I felt terrible and she has been getting sick on and off all day. I hope none of the other 7 girls get it.

So it will be a quiet night. On a more positive note we did get our new living room furniture, dining room table and I love it! My husband is going to grill steaks and we will eat at our new table. I think I will also have a glass of wine later. Hope you all have a good evening!

Agreed!! I love my car, but thinking of trading it in eventually. For something that has a dealership here. I have to drive 90 miles away for this issue, and I don't want to worry about the bigger/ serious repairs that may occur in the future.
