Christmas Countdown - 2016

Busy. Just when I think I am going to have an opportunity to return full time, I keep getting sucked back in. There's plenty going on here. I've been substitute teaching non-stop. And, since students are nearing the end of the year, they're needing plenty of help and guidance during class. I don't mind, though, they're great students.

Not a whole lot is happening this weekend. Kim and I should be out getting some groceries right about now... but she seems to have taken a nap. As soon as she wakes up, we'll have to get ready and begin our usual Saturday afternoon routine. Hopefully we can stop in at Tinseltown, too. I need a little Christmas!

As for the rest of the weekend, I think I need to do some running. The rain ruined my normal routine this morning, so I will have to do tomorrow's tonight and then today's tomorrow morning... If that makes sense.

Hope you get a little extra Christmas cheer in this afternoon! I also hope things slow down a bit sometime soon. Good luck with getting the run in!
 
About to head to a concert with my best friend to celebrate her graduation from grad school after I go to a funeral for a former resident I worked with in my previous retirement community. I will miss her very much, but I am also looking forward to a great evening with my friend, even though it'll be 92 during the concert at an outdoor pavilion! Is it fall yet?!?!

Not much going on today. Got the grocery shopping done this morning, doing a second load of laundry and running a load in the dishwasher. As soon as the laundry is done, we'll be watching some movies for the rest of the day. On deck: Zootopia, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and Hail Ceasar.

I have been packing some & working on the endless laundry. I think I'll clean up and then take her for a drive. It's too hot for an afternoon walk, so we'll cruise by the house & check the progress. I can't believe the walk through is Wednesday!

Then, we'll probably make some dinner, fold laundry, and watch a movie.

How about you guys?

I can't believe it's Weds either. Best of luck.

We just finished our roast chicken dinner and watched the Wales vs Slovakia match. England kicks off in about 50mins so that is pretty much our evening. I will probably read while we watch the match. I'll zone in and out :D
