Good evening,

It was a long day here with an unexpected twist. We ended up becoming parents of three new furbabies today! We adopted three, eight week old kittens. We saw a sign saying free kittens and went in for a look. I thought if we were to get any it would have been one, but my wife didn't want to separate the siblings.

This is them, Stella on the left, Tuukka in the back, Luna on the right.
The have the most easygoing temperament for kittens we have ever seen, just a joy to watch. The other furkids are not as happy, and some are quite angry with us. My boy Alex won't even look at me, he just stares at the wall when I talk to him. He is usually the one who runs out to see me as soon as I get home, but angry right now.

I am heading to bed now, I will get caught up tomorrow.

Happy Friday Eve, MMC family!! I was able to get tickets to the Green Bay Packers training camp for tonight. I've never been to a training camp. Been to the Packer Family Night (essentially a practice in front of 70,000 fans,) and a couple regular season games, but not a practice at Hutson field. Only problem is that I have 4 tickets and only 2 of us going. If I don't find someone soon, I guess it's a date night for me and the Mrs. (because of the short notice, all of the people I've asked have had plans or can't due to future plans.)

Rollins had fun when we visited him this evening. Was running around for a half hour playing with his toys. He sure loves attention. He has a lot of energy. His cough is better but he has a little congestion. They are taking an X-Ray in the next day or 2 so I will go see him on Saturday. They are treating him though for it and they expect him to be fine. He's eating and everything so he's not acting sick. As long as he gets better I can be patient and wait...

What a cutie Rollins is!

When will you go see Bryan Adams Meceka? That is an awesome gift! My in-laws once gave us Bon Jovi tickets, one of the best concerts I've been to.

Mid September, so there is a lot of anticipation, which makes it all the more awesome of a gift!

We arrived back home yesterday around suppertime, after a 4h30 drive and picking-up Loki at our in-laws. He was so excited to see us. It is so much more humid here than it was in he woods. As much as I enjoyed our time there and the hospitality of our hosts, I'm happy to be home. And as I told David, I'm never going outside in the evenings until I find a way to repell mosquitoes that actually works. It just ruined the experience of sitting around a fire for me. Today we'll relax with Loki and try to stay cool in the scorching heat. Then we'll plan some daily outings to enjoy during the rest of our vacation.

I'm glad you made it home safe and the you were reunited with Loki! Hope things cool off in your area soon!

Good Thursday morning, Christmas friends!

We finally got some good rain in Bellville last night. My rain gauge is broken, but I know it was at least 2". The only family member that didn't like it was Lulu. The thunder just scares her to death. She burrowed down in her mama's lap for the duration of the storm. Poor girl.

But it's nice not to have to fight the dying grass for a few days, anyway.

I try to eat mostly healthy but honestly if you read enough you'll find every food is bad for you in some way so I say eat whatever you want within reason.

THEY WERE HEAVENLY! I got a samoa one like the girl scout cookie-caramel and coconut with chocolate drizzle. I haven't had one in three years-it was PERFECT! Hope you had a good night!
