Christmas Countdown - 2016

Today is my son Henry's birthday, he is 7 today. No huge plans. He wants to help bake his own cake, in the form of a minecraft block. My wife will help him with that, she is the artistic one. I can bake a cake, but it would just be a cake. lol
Grandma and Grandpa are coming over this afternoon and going out to dinner with us. Then, this evening we are going to a place called Scene 75. It is part restaurant, part arcade. Kind of like Chuck-E-Cheese, but with a lot more games. Should be a fun day. Plus, once he opens his gifts, we can fight with nurf lightsabers!

And it may take some suspension of disbelief to accept the fact that as of THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW, we will be arriving at the 300-day Season Milestone marker and the start of the first of our 200's level count numbers.
(Can we really be moving along this fast??)


Reasonably warm for January yesterday but sure enough, it came with rain.
Hopefully, today will be drier. The REALLY cold weather should hold off until next week.
Right now, we are commencing the day here in central NC at 46 sunny degrees.

Thanks Crown! The cold is coming back here again too next week but I heard the week after it's supposed to warm up again (I hope they're right)!

Hope you all had a restful night and woke up well and in good spirits. We are iced over and temps sub zero and dropping due to an arctic blast expected to last weeks.

Good Saturday Morning MMC! Well I'm up early and ready for work...well in my jeans and sneakers. Not going to even dress up a little on a Saturday. I'll work only till noon so I will have most of the day off still. Won't be bad and they're bringing us in breakfast. I ordered French toast and sausage. Not a bad Saturday morning. It's raining here this morning anyway so when I go for my run this afternoon it should be cleared up. Timing sometimes works out. I'm glad it's the weekend. 15 days of January down and 15 ahead of us so today is the middle day of the month. Unbelievable huh?

Hoping and praying that all of my online friends and their furbabies are well this morning. My husband ended up getting very sick last night, not sure if it's a virus or something else going on. The poor thing had to be at a job in the city early this morning. He had to take care of a couple of things and couldn't get out of it. Hopefully he'll be home early this afternoon so he can rest. We are supposed to go to an Islander game tomorrow, I gave him a pair of tickets as part of his Christmas gift. Hope he's well enough to go. Not too much going on for me today. The girls all have to work so I'm going to start breakfast soon. I'm going food shopping after everyone is up and out. Other than that I'll be working on some chores around the house and I'm going to make a pot of chicken soup for my husband. That's about it for me. Hope everyone has a nice day ♥
