OK... back to looking a little more like my military days... lol. Everything else went fine as there is little traffic here at 9AM. Time for another cup of "Joe", a podcast listen and then off to check the inside of my eyelids.
Have a memorable weekend everybody!

Have a great weekend!

I saw similar temps here for us in about a week or so from now going into late August. Maybe the extreme heat will at least start to slow down as we head closer to the Bers!
Agreed! I love the heat, just don't need it to be THIS hot! I have to say it does make nice evenings for boating (if only we had more water in the lake - ha!) or convertible.
Hoping & praying you get a really good update on Rollins today!! xx

What a morning ... usually traffic on Friday morning is a relative breeze. But they're doing road construction on the main road leading to my workplace this week. There was a detour, and when I came out of that and headed toward the street where I work, the street was blocked off ... then another detour ... when I came out of that, the only way to the office building was through a restaurant parking lot, and a police car at the entrance was waving me onto the street. I pulled into the parking lot anyway, figuring if he stopped me I could explain that it was the only way I could find to my workplace. He didn't stop me, and I got here all right ... finally. Wondering why they have to work on EVERY street approaching my workplace on the same day!

I feel ya...they tore up the only road leading to our home so the only option we have is to drive through the road construction. Very frustrating when you leave for work in the morning, road is fine, come home, it's all tore up.

I bet it was tempting! :D The main road to get to our house is partially closed - has been for weeks, so I normally go around the back way. Well last night I took that partially closed road & all 3 entrances to our subdivision were closed....soo ALL the way around the country block I went. LOL! It's really not a big deal, just an inconvenience. Can't wait for them to complete the job! I won't be trying to go down that road again anytime soon! ;)
Enjoy your weekend!
I hope that inconvenience ends soon! At least they left you one way back in!

One evening Mr. was working late and I was already home. The electricity went out for a few minutes, and when Mr. finally got home, he told me a rotted-out tree had fallen at the entrance to our street, took down some wires, and blocked the road. He and some other neighborhood people were directed by the police to park at a nearby car dealership, and they had to make their way down a steep, wooded hill in the dark---in the clothing and shoes they'd worn during the workday!---to get back home. A couple ladies in heels, he said, had a really rough time of it. It took several hours to clear the tree from the road; in the meantime, nobody could get in or out of our neighborhood.

What is it with all the road construction all over the place?! I hope it's back to normal for you soon.

I guess I'm ignorant about municipal infrastructure repair, because I don't understand why they couldn't have done this road work earlier in the year, a street at a time, instead of suddenly doing it all at once on the hottest day of the year and making a maze for commuters! And heaven help us if the project isn't finished by the time the schools and colleges are back in session, 'cause there are a couple schools and a college along my commute route!

(Okay, enough whining from me.)

I wonder if she is worried we are leaving her again! Hopefully she soon forgets! ;) She was all fired up this morning when I woke up. Ready to PLAY & full of kisses!
I'm sure she will quickly, if that's the case :)
Aww, how sweet!
xx

Took off this Friday afternoon to take a nap and relax. I will have kids back in the building on Monday. Here goes another year!

But when school starts, Christmas is coming!
Enjoy your nap, coach!!
Can't wait for the 'bers and all they have to offer!!
