good November Tuesday morning, Christmas friends!

Trick-or-treating was fun last night, then we all went to Nancy's mom & dad's for a pizza party to celebrate winning the pizza makeover prize! Bernie is still beaming LOL! I think the construction is supposed to start in a couple weeks.

Elizabeth is part of the One-Act Play competition at school. She and Jacob were in the play last year, and they had such fun with the comedy. They won region competition, and went one to state, although they didn't place there. They always showcase the play at school with a fund-raising dinner theater, and tonight is the night. This year, however, the director chose a drama, and Elizabeth is not very excited about it. I hope it goes well tonight!

And I hope y'all have a great day! :D

Congratulations to Bernie!!!

@Bradmac, best of luck to Elizabeth!

@Holiday, praying for Gracie!

@HmG, I'm so sorry to hear your husband's aunt passed away. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. (((HUGS)))
Thank you Meceka! (((Hugs))) to you & Palmer!

Good morning, everyone!

I am exhausted. Last night was busy, busy, busy. I didn't get home from the gym until about 5:30. Afterward, I immediately had to get a dinner together quickly and then prepare all the Halloween candy. Thankfully, we handed out all our candy. Kim and I don't need that stuff around the house! I was super tired after all this, but I still had hockey at 11pm. That's far too late, especially for Halloween night!

It has been a real nice morning, weather-wise. Even nice, I would say, is the fact that those calendars have all switched from the 10th to 11th month. Yep. We have finally reached the month of the beginning of the Christmas Season. Wonderful! And, if we think the days and year have already flown by, it's only going to get faster from here on! Soon, the world will be filled with the magic we share all year round. It will certainly be an astounding feeling.

Well, I should probably get around to class. Hopefully I will have time this afternoon or tonight to contribute to the Christmas Blossoms thread.

Have a great Tuesday, everyone! Enjoy your very first day of November! The Christmas Season is soooooo close!

Love Thanksgiving. Definitely look forward to the count added for it like every year.
Sad the way Thanksgiving is being de-emphasized and squeezed out between Halloween and Christmas.
We always go season by season: Halloween trappings in October, Thanksgiving decorations after Halloween has passed, then straight on to Christmas after Thanksgiving weekend!
(When was the last time you saw a store decorated for Thanksgiving? Even our grocery stores ignore it.)

You are right. Halloween has become September/October and Christmas has become November/December but out of the 3 for many people the biggest family day is Thanksgiving!

But look at the bright side: Thanksgiving isn't so heavily commercialized as Halloween and Christmas ... it's a "homier" holiday and comes in relatively quietly.

You will be pleased to know that my sister and I feel the same way. So the doctor's office where we work got a makeover this morning, and is top-to-toe Turkeys! We are ready for Thanksgiving! (I especially am ready to eat my sister's Thanksgiving dinner)

I am sooooooo tired. We had a blast last night giving out candy, but now all I want to do is sleep. And I have so much Halloween stuff to put away! Yeeks! I need to hurry so I can get Thanksgiving decorations up at home.

I do agree that Thanksgiving can get rolled over by "some". As for me I Love, Love, LOVE both Thanksgiving & Christmas! To me these are the "Happy Holidays" - they do kind of get rolled together, but it's all a good & thankful time for friends & families to celebrate together!
