I have to ask, what is cottage pie & what is King Prawns. I know what friend rice is! Tee Hee!!

Ooh, the cottage pie sounds yummy. I have made something similar. Very tasty. I'm not a shrimp fan, so for once I'll pass on prancer's meal!!

I just found out I am taking my mom to the funeral home tonight to see a classmate of hers who just passed away. We are going to go right after work, so I need to get home & change clothes & head that way. I don't mind taking her at all, but I really dislike going to the funeral home! My sister was supposed to take her, but she has to work late. Oh ugh! (it will be fine...)

Cottage Pie is basically ground beef with carrots/peas/onions etc cooked separately and then layered with mashed potatoes, topped with cheese or breadcrumbs and baked in the oven. (As with all dishes there are many variations of course!) Shepherd's Pie is the version using minced Lamb instead.

King Prawns are what we call very large shrimp here.

Cottage pie sounds amazing!!!

That is so wonderful!! Especially when you think how they would be so much more confined if they were in WI this time of year!! How long will they be in AZ?

Just got a text from my friend. She is in recovery, still a little woozy. Her hubby talked to the doc who said all went well, but she said it hurts like (insert a couple
expletives!) Hopefully she heals quickly now! Thanks for all the thoughts & prayers for her!!

Merry Friday Eve my Christmas Friends!! Finally got my computer fixed this morning. It was supposed to take 30 mins but took 2 hrs but at least it is done.. Not up too much tonight, my hubby is working late so I think I am going to take my kids out for pizza and then we need to get some supplies for my youngest daughter's project. She has to make a state float of Nevada. They are saying 5-10 inches of snow for us but looks like we are right on the line so who knows! Hope you are all having a blessed day!

Just lost another person a very close friend of ours he just hit the floor yesterday morning and bam he's gone at 47... I just don't understand it I go to church every week practice my catholic faith as best as I can but sometimes I just wonder about it all .. He left a wife a 6 year old son and an 19 year old son . Sorry to vent but this is my refuge from the real cruel world ... Just hope we're all heading to someplace greater, that's what I'm lead to believe but sometimes I wonder if gone is just gone .......
