Afternoon everyone. It's cold and foggy over here which is frankly more like it, who wants t-shirt weather in November. Anyone bag any good deals? Anyone brave enough to venture to a store lol.

Greetings Tis. No, I did not go to a store yesterday. Two reasons: 1. Was not feeling well and 2. I work at one, so gong to a store on a day off is not in my usual plans...
Currently 28 here in the mid-west with an expected high of 35.

Happy Black Friday everyone! Hope you all had an awesome Thanksgiving (I know that I did). I'm headed to the mall today but I already ordered a bunch of gifts online so I don't have any pressure to wait on crazy lines today if it's too busy. We shall see. Hope you're all well!

Going to the clinic this AM, I have a feeling that what I am "suffering" from is Bronchitis and if that is the case, I will have to get that "Z" pack since they do not have anything over the counter for it. Then hopefully some work around the house and a bit of "decent" sleep before returning to work at 10PM.

Hi everyone, I don't suppose anyone remembers me, but I was posting semi-regularly several years ago. Kind of went inactive for some time--I was dealing with some depression and some family problems, and just couldn't muster up much Christmas spirit for a while. I thought I would drop in and say hello to all, and hopefully get back to posting. Happy Thanksgiving to all who are celebrating today!

I am new this year Anne, but it is nice to meet you. I hope and pray that things are better for you and that the true meaning and spirit of Christmas will fill your heart and soul with a warmth for you and all that you come in contact with. I'm sure I can speak for all when I say we look forward to hearing from you again.

OMG! OMG!...I am not panicking lol...My oldest daughter comes home today for a long weekend and i am sooo excited as we are going to decorate the tree,listen to christmas music and i am going to cook finger food BBq chicken drum sticks,pizza,Homemade sausage rolls...Have a Merry day ahead christmas friends

Good Friday morning! How was Thanksgiving for everyone? I still can't believe November is almost over, time is going by way too fast. It will be a very busy day at work. Not because of Black Friday deals, because we don't have any, but because employees have 30% off and their family and friends with a coupon, 20% off. And the fact that most stores in the area will have deals for Black Friday will bring more people into our store anyway. Counting down the hours till the day is over and I can relax and try to get over this cold. And then tomorrow we plan on decorating for Christmas and I'm so excited! Hope everyone will have a great day!

Morning Martine. I mustered up the energy to cook yesterday, but I was still out of it a bit. Good thing the Lord is there to give me what I need when I need it. I will head to the clinic in a little less than an hour and see if this is a cold or a case of Bronchitis. The some work around the home (Tom Turkey came down this morning) and a bit of rest before the evening shift.
Luckily I only have to work today and tomorrow, then I can make up for lost time and get more decorating done. Enjoy your day and I will add your cold to my prayers and hope it will vanish quickly...

Things are wet up here today it's raining instead of snowing. No plans for shopping except to get candy for the gingerbread house I making. going to be working on that most of the weekend. My fun filled Friday consists of working all day hopefully it's not too crazy here.

Well regardless, we are now on the fast track into the heart of the Christmas Season, with Christmas Day in our crosshairs up ahead.

Days to Christmas Day: 30 (ONE MONTH FROM TODAY!!)
(Yes, just one lone, solitary month separates us from the most incredible day of the year. Better get to work on finalizing those plans!)


Well, we had excellent weather for Thanksgiving yesterday, with our high reaching 72. The low 70's are predicted again for today before significant cooling begins for tomorrow.
We currently record 57 degrees here on our back door thermometer and it's a bit on the damp side.

Good evening,

Thanksgiving is my second favorite holiday for a reason, I don't spend it with my blood family anymore, but my in-law family. I feel much closer to them than my own. We had a great day with them, making memories and reminiscing. Hard to believe this was my 18th year celebrating with them.
I work tomorrow my normal shift, I have been spared from doing the nightmare Black Friday shift for the third year in a row. My anxiety really appreciates that, and being able to fully appreciate Thanksgiving is huge.
We are just about done Christmas shopping, it is a "small" Christmas in terms of presents, but we are going to Disney World in February so that makes up for the so called small Christmas.

Happy Day After Thanksgiving, all! Whether you're shopping or at home or at work today, have a great Black Friday. Now we can watch the world get into Christmas mode!

I expect to tackle some gift wrapping and packages today. Poor Mr. has been battling sniffles this week, but as of yesterday it became a full-blown bad cold. He was scheduled to work today, but just had to call in sick. We're about to rustle up some late breakfast.

Good Morning everyone, hope everyone who celebrated Thanksgiving had a good one, and I hope everyone who didn't had a good Thursday! I "worked" a half day yesterday, but had a lovely dinner with my husband, our daughter and our son-in-law first. I have to work a full day today but I think it'll be just as slow today. The small businesses around this area do something called Plaid Friday today, so I hope to be able to do a little Christmas shopping on my breaks. Then a full day off tomorrow, the only full day I'll have off this weekend. (Sigh.) Oh well, more money to buy Christmas presents.

I hope You all had a great Thanks Giving! I also hope You get some great bargains today on Black Friday...... Germany is slowly picking up on Black Friday (we usually do everything the US does after some time....lol). Kandice needed some Winter boots and sneakers for the gym to play fieldhockey....so we went to Sportsstore, and they had a Black Friday sale, everything was 20% off! We were quite happy about that.
