Christmas Countdown - 2016

[Festive Spirit]

Good Friday morning! I'm working the afternoon/evening shift and can't wait for this work week to be over. I'll be going to the walk-in clinic tomorrow, I've put it off for too long now. David had his MRI yesterday. He has to make an appoitment to see a doctor next week to get the results and see what the course of action will be. We feel so behind for Christmas with all that's happened this week. It's turned quite cold overnight (-13°C/9°F) and the snow we had last night has stuck. They announce a lot of it on Monday too. I'm happy to have a white Christmas but we don't need that much snow. Hope everyone will have a great day ahead!

Wow, snowflake22, that is a cute project/display and a super cute helper! If I had more doors, I would totally do that! What I do have is a huge empty wall in our kitchen that I am dying to decorate. I thought I might drape some ribbon and hang our cards that way. I want to see them every day!
We had a ton of snow on Sunday during the Packer game, of course ! The heavy snow blocked our dish so we couldn't watch the beginning of the game. Monday we played in the snow in the mild weather. Tuesday up until now it has been so chilly in the 20's. It snowed just a bit today, very windy and cold. Saturday we are supposed to get 6-10 inches. I love snow and am so excited!

One more day to go! The kids will be staying at the in laws for Friday & Saturday, so the wife and I are going to get Chinese food and wrap presents tomorrow night. Can't wait for work to be over tomorrow.

I am so envious of all the snow. . . still very warm here in Florida. . . but the next few day will be in the 60’s. . . I can’t wait!!!

How have you all been? Are you all on track with Christmas prep?

I could do with a couple more weeks before the 25th. Both children have been unwell this week one after the next and Mr Festive and I are still struggling with respiratory infections. Plans last weekend to visit Santa and the christmas markets were cancelled as my youngest was very unwell.

I have had to put a pause on showing the house for the next couple of weeks. We have been having a couple showings every week with no result. It's just too overwhelming with every thing else going on. I simply can't manage it!

A whole week has passed without me watching a single christmas movie or listening to music!!!! It's going by too fast!

Good morning ~
Happy Friday!
I've been up for quite some time, Maggie woke me up and I was not able to fall back asleep. My mind started racing, thinking about all that needs to be done. I finished shopping for our extended family yesterday. I'm going to take a break from shopping today to work on my Christmas cards and catch up on some chores around the house. I will concentrate on the girls gifts next week, my goal is to have them finished by the end of the week. After that I will be getting ready to host Christmas Day. Lots to do but it's all good, I love it. My husband and I will be attending a Christmas party this evening. Everyone has to wear something Christmassy, should be fun. That's about it for me. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day. One more thing, I also need to work on my Christmas village again today. I can't seem to keep Sophia out of it this year!

Good morning, everyone! We had a pretty cold night here last night for TX...in the low 20's. I sure wish we could have gotten some snow! We're going to be back up to 70° in a couple days.

I'm leaving in an hour to visit my mom for the weekend. It'll be just me and my little guy. He's been very excited to go!

Things are moving WAY too quickly for me. I've been much busier than usual this year.. So many preparations and packages and gift-making. But I've also gone to many tree-lighting, parades, and watched several Christmas movies already. It's like, the more festive I try to make everything, the faster time flies. It's a terrible paradox. In past years, when I haven't had much to do, Christmas time lasted longer but I was sad because I didn't enjoy it with enough festivities. Lol.

The party went well last night. Everyone had a great time, and the food wasn't bad. That's about all the enthusiasm I can muster, though. I just don't like that restaurant LOL.

Jacob has finished finals, so he's going to lunch with me, mom & Jim today. More shopping tomorrow!

I didn't want those moments to end

Carolina and I baked cookies with my cousin tonight. We put rolos and kisses on pretzel twists. On top if the rolos we put a pecan. On top of the kisses we put an m and m, We had to put the chocolate and pretzel in the over for 2 mins first and then after we topped them we put them outside in the freezing cold to set

Morning MMC! It's a full blown Christmas weekend. Going to get some food for the big Christmas Eve dinner today, a little more Christmas shopping and begin wrapping while watching more Christmas shows. No wonder I love this time of year more than any other. Rollins is up and around. I can't believe how he jumps so high. It's crazy. I'm not sure if it's normal. He can jump from the floor on top of the dining room table without a running start. When he stands up against me and lets go he "hangs in the air" standing straight before finally landing back on the floor. It's weird. My brother thinks we should put him in the circus.
