Yum!
I got a batch of sugar cookies baked, in spite of fighting with some overly-cold dough at the start. They came out pretty good. They make me nostalgic, because it's the recipe my mom used. The flavor really takes me back.

I just made a dbl batch of Ginger bread. 1st batch was with traditional molasses. 2nd batch was the original made with honey. Dough wont be ready until 5 pm. Then I am done for today...lol

Going into worrywart mode because it's been wet all day and we're expecting rapid freezing and black ice tonight. After Mr.'s little crack-up on the ice yesterday, I'll be nervous about venturing out to the office in the morning.

In spite of that, I'm hoping to relax this evening and try to get stuff off my mind. I don't want to spend Christmas week brooding over car repairs and black ice!

Doggone weather ... Mr. slid off the road and hit a mailbox post. Nobody was hurt, and he was able to limp the car home, but the car is definitely not going anywhere until it gets repairs.

I just gave him a couple fresh-from-the-oven chocolate chip cookies to help him feel better.
Glad your husband is okay! Sorry about the car though!

I'm finally getting a chance to catch up and post. It's been a pretty busy weekend. Yesterday, my dad's friend who dresses up as Santa came to visit Carolina. She was so excited and offered him cookies we made and told him what she wanted for Christmas. After he left, Mike took Carolina back to his house so I could get ready for work. I even got a little wrapping done. Still more to do which will be tomorrow nights project.

Today I worked and boy was it busy. Even though I was manager on duty I barely walked away from the register. I went to Mikes after and we watched his favorite Christmas movie...Die Hard. His mom is home and doing better. They think it was acid reflux.
Have a great night everyone!

Good evening,

Sorry I haven't been around the last few days, we have been incredibly busy. It is so hard to enjoy the greatest season of all when you have no time to enjoy it. We went down to Mohegan Sun last night for the New England Black Wolves Fan Fest, the boys got to meet every player on the team and got their autographs. They were so thrilled to meet their heroes, they don't know we got them season tickets for the upcoming season. They will find out Christmas morning.
4 more working days until vacation, it is so needed at this point. 2 days on, Wednesday off, 2 days on, vacation!

I hope you all are doing well.

Goodnight, everyone

Morning! This was the longest weekend ever lol. I was busy nonstop from the time I got home Friday right up till midnight Sunday night/Monday morning. It wasn't unexpected though. It just has put me behind on wrapping which I will have to make up for each night this week. I do not want to wrap any gifts on Christmas Eve. I always make sure that I am done by the 23rd. 4 days of work for me and then 4 days off for Christmas. Looks like we'll see near/slightly above normal temps for Christmas this year. After last year's it will be a definite improvement (20 degrees colder) but still not quite a white one since the snow we got Saturday has mostly melted. Have a great last Monday before Christmas!

Enjoy the last few days leading up to the big day Edge.

Good Monday morning! Was hoping to get some baking done yesterday after work but I was too tired. I'll try and get some done this morning after David's first physio appointment. I have a bit of time since I work the afternoon/evening shift. I have my menu planned for tomorrow when my father and brother come over, lots of cooking to come. Have a great day everyone.

** CHRISTMAS SEASON 2016 DAY 37 **

Good Morning, Folks.
Well, it is here.
The start of the the final week.
A week that will end with Christmas Day!!

Days to Christmas Day: 6 (UNDER A WEEK TO GO, NOW!!)
(366 down to 6. Holy Moly!)

We had the promised warm day yesterday but it came with rain, dampening what should have been a really nice last good day.
The cold is back now for today and we have commenced this final home stretch week at 37 degrees here after another overnight rain, and we likely will not get out of the thirties all day.

Have a Marvelous Monday and a Lucky Last week before Christmas!
