Good morning .. Can't believe we are in the final week before Christmas. I work today and tomorrow then I am off until after the New Year! Need to finish wrapping and get my baking done all by Friday. I have a feeling my coffee pot will be getting a work out this week LOL!

Good morning everyone! Wow, it December 19! I wonder how things are going at the North Pole. Does Santa get nervous before his big ride?

Well, yesterday we had Christmas number one. We spent the day with my wife's family. Her parents are amazing and go all out for Christmas. Lots of fun and good times.
Over the weekend we had a lot of ice. Then super cold temperatures moved in so the ice cannot melt. As a result, NO SCHOOL TODAY!!! My wife was already off today, but the boys and I have school through Wednesday.

I was dressed and ready to leave when the school closed. It took me all of about 30 seconds to be back in my Christmas (Charlie Brown) sweatpants. Now, I am going to relax and drink coffee!

Hello all, I hope I can join in?

Only today and tomorrow at work for me, then I'm off. The kids are still at school until Friday so I'm hoping to use some time to wrap presents and get the house tidied as well as do some baking. Any ideas on quick things to bake are very much appreciated as I'd like to try some new recipes this year.

I'm in Scotland, UK and it is really warm at the moment which is unusual. I'm hoping we might have a bit of cold for Christmas Day itself, it doesn't seem right being able to go outside without a thick coat on!

Good Monday morning, Christmas friends!

As I've read several others say, this weekend was crazy! Shopping, eating driving, shopping...whew! We did go to see the Savannah Philharmonic's Christmas concert on Saturday, and it was awesome!

I just wish the temperature would drop a bit. It was 82° yesterday! And it's predicted to be 75° on Christmas day. Oh well. That's Christmas in the south.

Good morning MMC!!! Merry Christmas week Monday!!!!

We had a very nice weekend - though I have come down with a bug. It started Friday night at Moms. Stuffy nose, runny nose, coughing, cow sitting on my chest kind of thing....but we still had a GREAT weekend with friends! No time for being sick. I warned everyone who came to our house or who we were going to be with & offered to stay away but they all said they are dealing with the same thing at their homes, so it doesn't matter. My brother was just here at work & he said he started with it Friday too. YUCK! Today is my last day for this. I'm going to be 100% tomorrow!
Friday night I made all kinds of goodies at Moms, also got up her Christmas decs - great night...and then poof - the icks started about 10pm! Saturday we made cookies at our house. Yesterday was Christmas at the in-laws & we met up with friends later. It all went so fast! I am SO looking forward to having next week off work!!! This morning would have been the perfect morning to stay in PJ's, curled up in a soft blankey & watching The Polar Express!! Guess I'll have to wait til next week for that!

Merry Monday...the countdown is on! I cannot believe this is the final week. This weekend was so busy it was crazy. I am hoping to get some wrapping done today. My MIL broke her foot and had to have surgery the beginning of the month so she cannot put any weight on it at all. So my SIL and us are going to provide the meal for Christmas day. We are making a spiral ham and a few sides. Hope you all have a great day!

Hope your MIL is getting along well with her foot.

Good afternoon everyone! Here we go, the final week! Got my final bits this morning so that's all the gifts bought, all my food is coming on Friday morning, ( I have it delivered, the supermarkets are ridiculously busy!!!) it will include all my baking products, xmas eve is a day of baking for me and the girls.

Just putting the final touches to my menu for xmas day, I keep forgetting things! I think we will have enough food to last us until next christmas at this rate haha!

I am going to catch up around the forums, have a great day all!

He's at home dealing with the insurance company today. I'm getting upset, because it's possible they'll total the car because of its age ... and I'm not at all prepared to buy a replacement. I hope the adjuster decides it can be repaired. This is beginning to really darken my week.

Hello all, I hope I can join in?

Only today and tomorrow at work for me, then I'm off. The kids are still at school until Friday so I'm hoping to use some time to wrap presents and get the house tidied as well as do some baking. Take a pretzel bow and place a Hershey kiss on top of it. Bake in oven at 325 for 2 mins then when done place an m and m on top and put on fridge til they get hard. Enjoy!

Happy Monday! I worked all day and have to be back at 630 in the am. Carolina is in bed and sound aslerp already so I am going to get some more wrapping done. A couple gifts can't be brought home until Christmas eve because they can't be wrapped. They are at my cousins in the garage so Carolina won't see them.
