Happy Friday, all, and allow me to exercise my bragging rights;
My sister's stepdaughter has been accepted to YALE! YALE!!!!!!!
She applied for early acceptance and they took her.
Oh my golly! I'm so happy for her! She's such a nice girl, and it's great to see good things happen for her. She wants to be an "International Lawyer" (I'm pretty sure that's it), and work for the good of humanity.
I still can't get over this! YALE! Wheeeeeeeeee!![]()
Wow that made me totally hungry! That menu sounds WONDERFUL!Good Tuesday morning! A full day of cooking and baking for my family tonight started at around 6:30am. I've got a coleslaw and macaroni salad done. Now getting some breakfast before moving on to my family's favourite veggie-packed sub sandwiches. We're going for "buffet-style". Mini pizzas and individual nacho bites, plus the usual dip and cheese canapés are also on the menu. Then I'll get to baking chocolate and butterscotch chips cookies, oatmeal cookie sandwiches with a maple buttercream, cinnamon roll quick breads and sucre à la crème, a traditional Québec fudge made with cream, icing sugar and maple syrup. As usual I will make way too much food, always worried about running out. But that's ok, I'll have my lunches for the rest of the week. Hope everyone will have a wonderful day!
Thanks Crown! December 20th just makes me say Wow!** CHRISTMAS SEASON 2016 DAY 38 **
Good Morning, Friends.
We draw near.
My oh my, but we draw near!
Just how near?
Well, the tale is told by the data:
Days to Christmas Day: 5 (WOW. So incredibly close!)
Yes, Folks. Hard though it may be to believe, our count has almost dwindled down into a bedpost, an analagy Scrooge would understand well.
It's been a long road but the journey is now nearly completed. Just hang on for a few more days, Guys!
Cold, wet and miserable here all day yesterday.
Fortunately, the weather service says that will be the worst day of the week, with a warming trend commencing, beginning today.
Currently, we have again started out cold at 33 degrees but we are looking forward to a gradual warm-up, coupled with dry conditions.
Have a Terrific Tuesday, Everyone!
Thanks Crown!! You are getting us closer every day!!** CHRISTMAS SEASON 2016 DAY 38 **

I watched it last night, too! It's the best!I just watched "National Lampoons Christmas Vacation" and it might be the best Christmas movie out there.
Good to see you again! Enjoy a quiet couple of days. I don't know what that's like! LOLHello everyone. Haven't posted in ages. Life has been so hectic! Well today is my last day at work and i get 2 days while the kids are still in school and hubby at work. Will bake, wrap presents and last minute grocery items. We will all tackle cleaning together on Friday when everyone is home.
Hope everyone will not stress and just do what you can and dont worry about the rest. Im enjoying these last days of prep and have decided to just go with what I can get done.
