Thanks nmc! Mom was admitted this morning - heart doc says she will be there several days (which for mom easily turns into weeks...) & then she will go to a rehab, so she probably won't be home until after the 1st of the year for sure. :(

Enjoy your baking this morning!
I'm sorry she'll be away from home, especially for the holidays. Still praying!

I think I finally found my Christmas spirit!

DD is out of school until January 5, so that's something I don't have to stress about for a couple of weeks. I got all of DD's Santa gifts wrapped on my lunch hour. I had an "a-ha" moment on a gift for DH's parents this morning. They were the last two major gifts to get & I was struggling.

Our itinerary for the next week:
12/21: Christmas candlelight service at church
12/23: Invited friends over for a chili dinner at 6:00 p.m.
12/24: Going to the mall with DH's parents in the morning. FIL does most of his Christmas shopping then. We just go with them to "people watch". Nothing else planned, but may be exchanging gifts with DH's best friend & his family that afternoon.
12/25: DD will open "Santa" gifts when she wakes up. That will be different this year since she found out the "truth" a couple of weeks ago. Church at 11:00 a.m. "Breakfast for Supper" & gift exchange with my family at my parent's house at 5:00 p.m.
12/26: Lunch & gift exchange with DH's family at 11:00 a.m.

I'm hoping to keep it low key at home most of Christmas Eve & Day, watching the Christmas movies we haven't taken time to watch.

Busy,Busy...5 dozen sugar cookies done today. Now getting ready for peanut butter. I will need elbow replacements by Christmas..lol
YUM!!! Emma was baking cookies when I stopped at Moms at lunch too... :D

I'm glad you finally found the spirit! I was thinking earlier today that we've been running around so much, I haven't even had a chance to look for spirit! Maybe tomorrow!

I am so sorry to read you have had such a rough day. I really hope you will feel better soon. And I'm keeping your mom in my thoughts. Take good care.

Happy Pines! I finished wrapping last night and I have a 1/2 day today. I am going to finish getting some stocking stuffers.
My oldest daughter made little gift bags with candy for her friends for Christmas. Well she left the bags on the floor and did not shut her door all the way and of course, my crazy Leo got in there and got into the Reeses PB cups. He ate 3 of them and was hoarding the rest of them under her bed.
I called the ER vet but based on his weight he was not too concerned and gave me some signs to watch out for but thank God he has been fine and his usual crazy self..:D:p
Hope you all have a great day!
Such a cute story, Leo must have been in heaven tasting those Reeses cups. Dogs just love when we forget to close a door and they get their hands on stuff they know they shouldn't. Loki once grabbed a whole bag of Denta Stix from the cupboard, got them out of the bag, probably ate a couple and then hid the remaining stack. Hope Leo is doing ok.

Good evening,

December 21 already, wow, this is just so incredible that in just over 72 hours Christmas day will be here.
I just work tomorrow and Friday and then vacation starts, I cannot wait, I am running on fumes at this point. I finished my wrapping this afternoon, went and saw LC's Christmas show at school, picked up some final desserts from Costco for Christmas. I don't think I have ever had such a hectic December.

I hope you all had a great day.

I hope to be able to spend more time here soon.

Goodnight, everyone
