That sounds like a plan! I would love to meet you!

Your parents would love the Lake District in Cumbria. Beautiful countryside, lakes and quaint little villages.

We take short breaks there quite often. My favourite village down there is probably Grassemere. It has a famous old gingerbread shop since 1854.

After picking up gingerbread we stop at this little place for tea. I always like listening to the stream as it gurgles past.

Hoping to spend a few days up there when Mum visits this summer.
Oh, such a lovely place!

They are sneaking the potential snowfall upward a couple inches for tonight into tomorrow morning. Because of the timing, it's going to be a difficult call whether I feel safe driving to the office tomorrow ... I hate that. It's easier when it's a clear call. It makes the workflow slower and more difficult when I work from home, and I have to straddle the fence between feeling safe and making the workday of others inconvenient.

Oh I see! Hmm wow. Could mean Christmas is early out then at your place!
We used to set Christmas years ago when I worked for em part time in Sept. But thats a whole thread unto itself. X=stockroom.. Y=Christmas merchandise...by Sept 15th X=100 and Y=200..lol we had no choice but to set it. Now I am loss prevention so Y can =2000 and it doesnt matter to me.

Makes it complicated when you don't know for certain. The weather these days is a challenge when it comes to forecasting. I hope for the best possible outcome for you tomorrow. Trust your instincts and don't feel guilty if you have to work from home- your safety is priority.

Ahh I see. I guess you will soon find out where things stand after the meeting. Good luck!

Good Thursday afternoon, my Christmas friends!

It's been another crazy day here at work. We had thunderstorms with lightning last night, and it fried some of our network equipment. I'm the local IT flunkie, so I've spent this whole time trying to get at lease partial response from the server. As you can see, since I'm posting, it worked. The circuit at my desk and a couple others still don't work, though. That's why I'm in the conference room, trying to type on the crazy-small laptop keyboard. Grrr. Please forgive any misspellings.

It's still raining, too.

There was a time I would say "I need a drink". Now, I need a Diet Pepsi and some Oreos.

I hope y'all have a great day!:D

Good Afternoon christmas friends...Hope everyone is having a good day so far...So glad my working day is done Woo-Hoo...Time to get busy in the kitchen preparing dinner...Enjoy the rest of your day christmas buddies:)
Your dinner sounds yummy! Enjoy the movie tonight!

Happy Friday Eve! They are saying we may get 3-5 inches of snow tonight into tomorrow. So crazy because it is warm out there now but we'll see. Hope you all have a great afternoon!
It's been snowing pretty much all day but not enough to accumulate at all. What a bummer! Have a good evening!

I can relate, Edge. I lost my father when I was 17, over 25 years ago from Pancreatic cancer and I lost my mother this past June to Colon cancer. I'm thinking my chances to avoid it aren't too great, but I plod on everyday hoping that someone will find something to defeat this dreaded/deadly disease.

Sean
Agreed! Sorry for your loss! :(

She would definitely be curious, maybe bark a little.
We have a lot of farms around us, so she sees cows and horses grazing. But there has always been a fence between us. She really likes to watch them =]
Gracie always has to stop when we walk by farms & stare at the cows for a minute or 2! LOL

Gorgeous!!!!

Maggie's doing alright but she doesn't sleep through the night anymore. Some nights are better than others but last night was not good. I feel like I have a newborn baby again and I'm way too old for that! Hopefully tonight is better!

Awe! Sorry to hear that. I hope you get some sleep tonight & she starts sleeping through the night again for you! (((Hugs))) to you both!

I hope it's not unsafe for travel in the morning - or bad enough that you know to stay home!! Stay safe Merry!

Well, I guess they would get a lot less done if I wasn't around at all!
