Good Thursday afternoon, my Christmas friends!

It's been another crazy day here at work. We had thunderstorms with lightning last night, and it fried some of our network equipment. I'm the local IT flunkie, so I've spent this whole time trying to get at lease partial response from the server. As you can see, since I'm posting, it worked. The circuit at my desk and a couple others still don't work, though. That's why I'm in the conference room, trying to type on the crazy-small laptop keyboard. Grrr. Please forgive any misspellings.

It's still raining, too.

There was a time I would say "I need a drink". Now, I need a Diet Pepsi and some Oreos.

I hope y'all have a great day!:D

Hope these help ;)
Good luck!

That sounds like a plan! I would love to meet you!

Your parents would love the Lake District in Cumbria. Beautiful countryside, lakes and quaint little villages.

We take short breaks there quite often. My favourite village down there is probably Grassemere. It has a famous old gingerbread shop since 1854.

After picking up gingerbread we stop at this little place for tea. I always like listening to the stream as it gurgles past.

Hoping to spend a few days up there when Mum visits this summer.
Oh my! So quaint and picturesque!
They would love it there, heck I would too! Wow <3

Hope you & your Mum have a lovely time. Please post some more photos!!

I think this is a job for Snowflake and I !

What do you say Stacey? Are you up for trying to find Scotland's famous Lochness Monster!?
Absolutely!!!! We would be Nessy hunters extraordinaire!

That would be so exciting and fun! =]

Maggie's doing alright but she doesn't sleep through the night anymore. Some nights are better than others but last night was not good. I feel like I have a newborn baby again and I'm way too old for that! Hopefully tonight is better!

I'll be praying for your baby girl and for you as well. Please keep us posted ♥
xoxo

Thank you so much Snowflake!

Thank you Festive!
Enjoy the rest of the day!

Thanks Prancer, it's going pretty well. Hope your day is going good too!

Yes it's going to be bad timing. Fingers crossed that it won't be too bad. Be safe!

Thank you so much Meceka!
I hope your day is going well!

I'm so sorry, sending hugs and prayers to the three of you.
xx
Thanks so much, friend <3

Continued prayers for you & Maggie.
I sure wish they could speak our language and tell us what's troubling them.

xoxo

They are sneaking the potential snowfall upward a couple inches for tonight into tomorrow morning. Because of the timing, it's going to be a difficult call whether I feel safe driving to the office tomorrow ... I hate that. It's easier when it's a clear call. It makes the workflow slower and more difficult when I work from home, and I have to straddle the fence between feeling safe and making the workday of others inconvenient.
Thinking of you, Merry.
Stay safe.

Thank you!
The folks I work closest with know I took home with me everything I'd need to work from home tomorrow, so they'll be prepared in case I do. Boston has already announced that it's closing their public schools tomorrow, so I won't look like too much of a sissy if I don't venture out. Mr. has a job booked tomorrow, but his commute is along major routes.

I wouldn't survive long in Wisconsin, would I?

I still get so nervous, Merry.
I know we have had these conversations before, but it's other drivers I'm worried about. I drive slow and stay to the right.

I don't blame you one bit, if I had the option to work from home on those bad days I would. If it ever got really dangerous, and I knew it before I left the house, I would insist though.

How is Mr. doing?

Continued prayers for him, and you.

I feel the same---I'd feel safer driving in bad weather if everyone were careful. Do you have idiots there who go on the roads without adequately clearing off their vehicles first? I guess they're everywhere, along with the idiots who drive as they would on dry roads.

Mr. is doing fine. He should be starting an extended temp job soon. The client is a financial institution, so he's waiting for them to complete a mandatory background check before they give him his start date.

Yes, too many of those idiots here.
What really gets me specifically are those people who don't brush off their lights. So dangerous.

Glad to hear he's doing well. Best wishes to him on his new endeavors.
