Christmas Countdown - 2016

I remember that day so clearly, that snowstorm dumped 30 inches of snow on us. I had been out of work the 3 previous days with some sort of bug, I was sick as a dog shoveling that snow. My wife and I took turns shoveling. I think it took us just under 3 hours to dig out.

Yeah we've had a few storms around that amount...it's "fun" at first and then it gets really old fast.

Good evening,
I spent the day doing little things around the house, not too much excitement today.
It hit 80*f here this afternoon, you should have seen me getting the mail. I was like a vampire or gremlin trying to get out of the sun/heat as quick as possible.

Wow 80? I think we hit mid 70s here...some places did hit 80 though. We probably got close. Have you noticed in recent years we're getting almost warmer weather in May and Sept than we are in July and August? It's weird.

Happy Thursday!! Woke up to rain and I had forgot to put the garbage out...early morning garbage bag marathon run. Think we set a record with March 9th at 7 pm we turned on the a.c. house was 78° inside. Uncomfortable for this time of year so soon I think.

I always put the garbage out at night cause I know I won't remember in the morning.

Good Thursday Morning MMC! TGIT for me my last day to work this week. Next week will be the same. Definitely looking forward to a long weekend even though we shorten it by an hour with turning the clocks back. Happy Friday Eve everyone. Hope you all slept well. Funny I had to open the window and turn my fan on in MARCH. Crazy...usually we're still shivering. Not sure if this is a sign of the summer to come but I don't necessarily think this means we're going to get a brutally hot summer. A lot of times as I mentioned recently we get warm early and then it actually gets a little cooler as the summer comes. We'll see though.

FB definitely has too much drama on it and negativity...but overall I think it's a good thing. It's nice to see and find people you grew up with and see how their lives turned out. It's also allowed me to reconnect (maybe) with the girl I saw in Church cause of FB I can any time write a message to her (if I ever get the guts) to hang out etc...so FB ain't all bad...but it kinda can be the dark side.

And it usually comes back to bite them.
Especially since a lot of work places check out your history, and whatnot.
I never put anything on there I'd regret.
FB is great to stay in touch with family & friends.

Mornings come too quickly!
My eldest is on a school trip today and had to be in school earlier than normal. I am always nervous when they go on trips and this one is the furthest away they have ever been. I won't feel settled until I pick him up this evening.

FB definitely has too much drama on it and negativity...but overall I think it's a good thing. It's nice to see and find people you grew up with and see how their lives turned out. And it usually comes back to bite them.
Especially since a lot of work places check out your history, and whatnot.
I never put anything on there I'd regret.
FB is great to stay in touch with family & friends.

You're right. I love staying in touch with people. Unfortunately I do see some people putting a lot of negative stuff on FB also. I know they're trying to "spread their message" but to me it's like there's enough negativity in the world why not try to put a positive spin on things?

I am making a new recipe in the crockpot today...it is called Honey Parmasean Pork Tenderloin. I will post the recipe if it comes out good! A friend of mine posted it on FB so I thought I would try it. Hope you all have a good day! It is going to be another warm one today!

I thought they were working but she began coughing again last night. It continued overnight some. I really wish I was the one who worked from home so I could keep a closer eye on her. We'll have to play today by ear, but I almost wonder if we should take her in regardless.

Oh, I am so sorry to read that Harlowe was coughing again last night. You mentioned that the weather has gotten cooler. Do you think the weather fluctuations could be causing some of her problem what with the differences in the humidity levels? One of my dad's dogs had the same condition and higher humidity bothered him.
I will be praying extra hard for Harlowe and you and Adrian!

We've resisted getting on Facebook so far. Most of my family aren't online, so we stay in touch by letter and by phone; other friends we keep up with by e-mail and by phone. Mr. says "our friends know where to find us."

Facebook would be great if it were a meeting place (like MMC) ... but I gather for some people it's a stage or a loudspeaker, a way to broadcast their opinions and a place to fight those who disagree. That's the picture I've gotten from friends who are on Facebook. My only regret is I sometimes think I could get to know some of you better if I were on Facebook.

That sounds really good! I like parmesan a lot! I hope you are not coming down with anything. I woke up with those symptoms earlier this week and now I have a cold but it's only a mild one. Have fun cooking and have a great day!
