Christmas Countdown - 2016

Good morning!!! Happy Friday!!! YES! :D
Emma made us the best meal last night. Haystacks, homemade bread & swiss cake roll cake for dessert. Mmmm, Mmmmm! Her homemade cheese sauce is OH MY YUM! I told her that would be excellent with soft pretzels too! (kinda like the beer cheese dip) I may have to go to Moms for lunch/leftover haystacks. Them Amish sure can cook!
She loved the brew barn! Nick (the owner & our neighbor) came over & told Emma she was the 1st ever Amish at the brew barn & we all got a grand tour! Fun night! And yes, snowflake/Festive - I had (2) Blackberry Prarie Wheat's - 1 for each of you! Now I have to go back so I can have one for myself! :D ;)

Just received a jar of squid on a stick from my buddy in Japan today. Its dried like a beef jerky and I did find it to be very unsatisfying...lol !! He bought it at a fast food place there. I should mail him some pig knuckles in a jar.

Oh geez. Sorry prancer - it was the end of the day. My brain was turned off already. Ha ha! Ok, so maybe she was in the wine. LOL

Even their BLTs are excellent. Quality varies, though. We visited a Five Guys in Maryland where the fries were underdone. :eek: But the one near us is consistently good, both the sandwiches and fries.

Hey! Well thanks a bunch! I hope I can try it myself one of these days.

I was at the shops before and I was browsing the new summer fruit wheat beers and I thought of you. Then you won't believe it but BadFinger came on!!!! I actually started chuckling to myself !!! I am having a Holiday kind of day.

Glad you all had such a lovely evening and meal. Now I have to ask . What are haystacks?

And Jacob has a gig tonight, so I bet he'll be beat by the time it's finished. That's what he gets! ;)

I'm hanging in there Sam. I forgot to mention my daughter went for the echo cardiogram and the results were normal. She was very sick when the doctor heard the murmur, I was told that could have been the reason why one was detected. I'm praying she will not have any issues in the future. Thank you so much for asking!

I'm being lazy this morning. I'm having my coffee and looking at recipes on Pinterest. I need to work on a menu plan and grocery list for next week, just have to figure out what I want to cook. Not too much going on here today. I have to take a ride to Petco at some point to pick up a couple of things. I also need to stop at Rite Aid for a prescription. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores.

That is such a relief. You have been in my prayers and I am so glad things are all okay. I'll be praying that there will be no further issues either.

I hope you get some down time this weekend to catch up on some rest. Take care HMG.

Yes I was in Hocking Hills. I did not hear about the escapee until we came home.
The cabin we stayed in was great. That was until Sunday night when some big storms came through and knocked the power out. It was not much fun trying to pack the car and leave in the dark the next morning with no power or water. But we made it. Overall the weekend was great though.
