For some reason last summer didn't seem too buggy to me. It was consistently warm and sunny but not too many heat waves or crazy amounts of humidity. I wish every summer was like that.

I don't know how it works there, but here if you have a school obligation, you can be excused from jury duty.
UGH! I'm afraid of that too...

It's been a busy morning today, so I haven't had a chance to post before now.
I went outside for my morning walk around 6:30, and it was raining! I guess I wasn't expecting rain, and now it looks rainy for the rest of the week. I need to get a few more seeds in the garden while it's raining!

I went outside for my morning walk around 6:30, and it was raining! I guess I wasn't expecting rain, and now it looks rainy for the rest of the week. I need to get a few more seeds in the garden while it's raining!

It's over... Finally! The new teacher came in yesterday and officially starts today. I am no longer teaching Grades 7/8 every day. I am officially back to supply work! As I have said before, having my own class(es) was fun, but this will be much better. I am dealing with students that I can get along well with and, of course, I am getting paid much more! No more 60% of a day pay!!
I hope everyone has been having an enjoyable week thus far. Yesterday was not very pretty in Ottawa. We started out with some very wet/icy conditions. It rained afterwards, too. Now, we're finally on our way to SPRING weather. We will finally reach double digit temperatures (50s) on Thursday and it looks to be here for good. Hooray!

I know when we would take a walk on those nice days during the winter we would run into clouds of bugs. Cold weather helps to kill em off somewhat.

We need it to dry out so we can til the garden so we can plant seeds! Maybe by the weekend!

I ran into swarms of bugs already a couple weeks ago on walks. Hopefully the cold snap we had the last SEVERAL days helped take care of some of them!! xx
