I'm trying to avoid the smack from PCB's! I'm a little bummed but still enjoying not working today. I just pulled Scalloped Chicken Casserole from the oven for my Mom. She has not been feeling well. She chipped a tooth & now her tongue is infected from rubbing against it. She has a cold too. I'll be heading over there before long. Hubby asked if he should take down the outside decs, but then he looked at the forecast & it's supposed to be warmer next weekend. Happy to leave the lights up, but darn the warm weather. He did take the red/green lights out of the patio & replaced them with blue & white for winter. Have a good day Merry. Enjoy!!!
Thank you! I sure hope your mom is feeling better soon. I'm sure that casserole will help.

We're going out in a little bit for a late lunch, and I'll bring my decorations from the office home so I don't have to deal with them on Monday.

I need a small northwoods tree or some branches with lights---something with a little twinkle to it to brighten up the rest of the winter, like your blue and white lights.

Thanks Brent!:)

I'm trying to not let the blues set in but it's tough. I don't want PCB's to ruin the weekend. But I understand!

Enjoy the day off with your hubby!!!

Have fun at the party!

Happy New Year missiechick!

Happy New Year Tis!

Good afternoon snowflake!

Enjoy the stew & Antman!

Good afternoon made. We have a beautiful sunny/chilly day. I will have to check to see if we have flurries in our forecast! :)

I hope your mum is better soon.
I like that you switch the colour of the lights and keep them through winter.
Food sounds delicious. Enjoy.
(((hugs))) These first few weeks are tough but it will get better. Just think, soon it will be summer and you can enjoy your time at the lake more!

More movies today, and wound up with a couple of Muppet Shows (someone gave us three seasons for Christmas). Off to bed, and on to the weekend!

I'm thinking the tree will come down next weekend. I told Mr. I'd miss the cheery glow during the dark winter evenings. He suggested that I put up a tabletop tree with white lights when the big tree comes down. A great idea! I'll put a little snowman next to it, maybe.

I like that idea, Mr had a great suggestion to fend off those dark evenings.

I enjoyed some of the classic today as well. There is rumor that it is going to be here next year, up at Penn State - Pens possibly vs. Flyers. If so, DH and I are going to do everything in our power to get tickets.

Great find on the Santa!!! You'll have to post a picture!
Hey stranger!
I had friends who went to the game yesterday they had a great time, they just wished the Bruins showed up for the game.
A Pens/Flyers match up would be a good one, especially on neutral turf.

Good Afternoon, MMC!!! It's a sunny but cold day here with some flurries predicted for later on. I spent this morning taking down the tree. Now it just looks so bare in here. Oh well. I'll get used to it again in a few days. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!
Putting up the tree is 1000 times more fun than taking it down but have a GREAT DAY anyway MADE!

Wow I almost feel bad for the "M" word coming the day after tomorrow. So many people are hating on it more than usual :). I know it's probably the least fun Monday to go to work but just think about it every time a Monday comes it's another week closer to the Christmas season. Ok maybe that doesn't work in early January :).

Found some more than half off recees peanut butter trees, how can you say no to that!?!??!! Still loving Christmas!
You can't!!!!
Enjoy those trees, the eggs are already out around here. Funny how no one complains about the early display of Easter like they do for Christmas.

LOL! Not so much ;)
But it's all good. I had my decorations and trees out on November 1st. It wasn't fun taking them down, but I was okay with it. Probably wouldn't be if I didn't start so early each year.
Like others have mentioned, you have to say goodbye to them in order to work towards Christmas season 2016. If we didn't say goodbye to them, they wouldn't feel so special and nostalgic when we take them out.

Morning everybody! What day is this????!!!!! I'm so disoriented especially as all the stores have been open straight through, I don't really have a marker to work from (at least places were closed on Christmas Day!) Today, whatever today happens to be, is completely unplanned - apart from 1/4 to 11 tonight when I'm expected at the train station to pick Bruce up (he headed down to London for New Year, as you do!) I made banana muffins yesterday so today, I think I'll make white chocolate and cranberry cookies, just because I can! I've just discovered Pride and Prejudice on TV (Colin Firth version) which has now decided my course of action for the next couple of hours!!!!!!!!! After that, a very smelly dog will be getting reintroduced to soap and water (occupational hazard of being 6 inches off the ground!!) :)

That is my wife's favorite version of Pride and Prejudice, hope you were able to enjoy it.

It definitely feels more like Christmas out today. Looks like January will be more "normal" with average temperatures from what I heard. That's fine...as long as it's not Alaska type cold we had last winter. Would have been nice if the cold hit before Christmas but eh what can ya do! :)
Low temps in the single digits for us on Monday and Tuesday. Hello winter!!

Exactly. That's what makes it so exciting to take out because they've been away for roughly 300 days!
