Hello all. Finally a free moment to sit and relax. Hope everyone is doing well.
After some busy and frustrating days, it is really nice to be able to come here and see the Christmas spirit abound!

Har is hanging in. Feeling a little sore I think, wants her space. She does have an infection (that's what the lump is) so we have some antibiotics for the next few weeks.

Another year older, not much wiser.
A little celebration here, Chinese food and whoopie pie was the dinner and dessert of choice. We will be having a small get together next week to bring the family here to commemorate my wife's and my birthday. Hers was just before Christmas.

I was horseback riding last evening in 6F
THAT was a cold experience!

Today it's 0,4F, so I dressed the little one with three layers of wool
under his winter clothes.

Merry Friday all!
Hope everyone had a restful night and those under the weather are feeling much better.

We are bracing for an Artic blast which will bring a drastic drop in temps. We have been quite mild and comfortable at 8C and it's been the warmest December in history with temps reaching 14C but by next week we could be -10C. The big freeze is set to last and mixed with the wet conditions, it won't be pleasant. They say some snow is on the horizon too but I doubt my region will see any.
I can already feel the drop in temps as it makes it's decline. Winter is here.

Good Friday Morning MMC! TGIF! I think we all needed a reminder of how awesome Friday is after a long normal work week. And here it is to save the day (and the week). Overall it's been a good week for me at work. I can't complain. I hope those of you who are dealing with sickness feel better and get some rest and fun this weekend. My plans are to try to take it easy this weekend. My tree will stay up this weekend and next week. I have a few errands to do as always but I'm going to try to just take it easy this weekend more than run all over like a mad man. 1 more work day and then the glorious weekend is here. 1 weekend closer to Christmas weekend!
I hope you all have an awesome FRIDAY! And an even more awesome weekend!

Morning, MMC! I hope you all are having a wonderful week so far. We made it! It's a full week into 2016 now--how are you all doing??

I've had an amazing week-working hard to get started toward my goals for the year, spending lots of time at work, and also spending time with friends--one of my goals for the year is to spend more time with friends and less time feeling tired from work in our apartment. I went out to see Christmas lights at an amazing local garden last night with some friends from college and their dogs-it was awesome!!!

going to be another nice weather day here then on Monday we are to be back to our regularly scheduled snow.

We are starting on the basement, organizing and packing and getting rid of things we really should not be hanging on to any more, you know those "why do we have this anyway" stuff.

I work...for pay...this afternoon for 4 hours then have the weekend off. Next week I am back to a regular work schedule.

Merry Friday! I hope you all have a good day. Quiet weekend ahead...my younger daughter has her first basketball game tomorrow morning. Otherwise we will just be hanging out. We are going to take down the tree this weekend...I will miss the lights but I think I will leave out my snowmen for a bit.

Enjoy your weekend - hope taking down your tree isn't too painful. I have so many snowmen to get out - might put some white/blue lights around too. We'll see.

I bought my one ticket yesterday, I didn't even know the name of the game. I just went to the store and asked for a ticket for the big one. At least they knew which one i meant.

Mr. plans to get us a ticket today. I heard that the pot will be worth around $700 million.
Whoever wins it will face a lifetime of beggars, scammers, and leeches, though. The rest of the world will feel entitled to its slice, and some will try to get it. So sad.

Stay safe and warm. I hope the icing isn't so bad. We have a possibility of freezing drizzle during the day, so I'm a bit worried about the drive home. We had sleet a couple weeks ago and the drive was okay, but when I got home, walking from the car to the doorway was like walking across a skating rink.

This weekend? Taking down the Christmas trees and outdoor lights (if it isn't too rainy), and packing away the ornaments and the Nativity. If I have slow spots during the workday, I'll try to create a playlist of happy Christmas songs to make the job easier.
