Good morning!

Watching the news and it looks like that storm is going to be quite nasty. Keeping everyone in its path in my prayers!!

Done with job #2 so I am going to work on store tasks for tomorrow. I can get quite a bit done today so there will be more time to go out and look for more stock tomorrow. By the way, my store is at the top of the list to get the next available bigger space ~ the hard work is paying off!

Good Morning, My Friends.

Awaken to a new day.
And to the fact that we are now exactly three weeks away from 2016 Milestone number two, the ONE QUARTER MARK TO THE SEASON.

Days to the Season: 296
Days to Christmas Day: 338

And how have we so rapidly moved this close to completing 1/4 of the journey?
Why, it's the beauty of the Season count, which has been running not from December 25 but from November 13!


Well, we are in for a bad couple of days with freezing rain, snow and sleet. There will no doubt be lots of highway accidents, especially with the freezing rain causing black ice.
Right now, it is 28 degrees here with little additional warmth expected until Sunday. A light overnight sleetfall has already slickened things up a bit.


Regardless, I will try my best to have a Fabulous Friday, Folks.

Just lost another person a very close friend of ours he just hit the floor yesterday morning and bam he's gone at 47... I just don't understand it I go to church every week practice my catholic faith as best as I can but sometimes I just wonder about it all .. He left a wife a 6 year old son and an 19 year old son . Sorry to vent but this is my refuge from the real cruel world ... Just hope we're all heading to someplace greater, that's what I'm lead to believe but sometimes I wonder if gone is just gone .......

I'm so sorry for the loss of your friend, RachRon. It's understandable for your faith to be shaken when someone so young is taken from us. I haven't found a reason why these things happen, or any way to really console those left behind.

All I can say is, I'm confident he's in that better place. Praying for his family, and for you.

Thanks everybody! It really went fine. There were only 2 people in front of us, so we could go through quickly. I felt a little odd, not knowing any of them, but they all remembered that my Mom played ball & "chummed around" with their Mom. Mom is going to the mass today as well. They seemed like a very nice family!

Merry Friday Eve my Christmas Friends!! Finally got my computer fixed this morning. It was supposed to take 30 mins but took 2 hrs but at least it is done.. Not up too much tonight, my hubby is working late so I think I am going to take my kids out for pizza and then we need to get some supplies for my youngest daughter's project. She has to make a state float of Nevada. They are saying 5-10 inches of snow for us but looks like we are right on the line so who knows! Hope you are all having a blessed day!

So gorgeous in the Christmas colors! I'll bet it's extra-warm, too.
I've never attempted one of those patterns. I couldn't see myself measuring and cutting the long lengths of yarn for weaving in. And I figured if my gauge was a little off, the woven-in lengths could up up long or short. They could be trimmed it they're too long, but if they're too short ... Frustration City! Is there any trick to making it the lengths work out right, or is it just the patience to work to gauge and measure and cut accurately?

This is my 1st attempt too. When I was pretty young, we had an afghan like this at home my aunt had made & it was my favorite afghan. Everybody's favorite. We used it until it was falling apart - lots of years! So this is a total experiment for me!! That is if I ever get back to it!

I am so very sorry. What a terrible shock! Sending hugs, thoughts, & prayers to you, your friend & his family! So tragic!

The kids were supposed to leave this morning for an overnight school trip north of Atlanta, but the approaching weather made them postpone it. It's supposed to snow & ice over up there. We found out at 8:00 this morning. I'm relieved that they won't be travelling in the rain, but Nancy and I had date night planned tonight. Oh well, I guess I have a date with Netflix and the Playstation now.

Lunch with my mom and my brother today!

I know you guys have to deal with that coastal flooding. I hope it's not too bad. It sounds like even if we don't get a ton of snow the winds blowing it around will make it hard to see. Sounds like a good day to stay home tomorrow!

My husband and my oldest both have to work for a few hours tomorrow. I plan on driving my daughter to and from work. My youngest just got a new Jeep Wrangler a couple of weeks ago, I'll probably drive that. I'm curious to see how it handles in the snow. Probably better than my crossover. The worst part of the storm is expected to hit between 5 p.m. Saturday and 5 a.m. Hopefully everyone will be home long before that!

Well we have a blizzard warning and they're saying we could get up to a foot of snow. The worst part of this storm may not be the amount of snow, but the coastal flooding that is expected here on the south shore of the island. We'll see what happens.
