Good evening,

I had an unscheduled day off today. I stayed home because JP was sick all night long. So I had a busy day with him, didn't take any Christmas stuff down, my heart couldn't bear of 2 days in a row of that.

I did see that Dept. 56 has announced the 2016 Possible Dreams Santa lineup. I spent quite some time researching those, and added many to my wish list. I will be lucky to get more than one, but I can wish, especially if the one I get is this guy:

Hockey and Santa, doesn't get much better than that for me.
I am heading to bed, I have a little back spasm going on right now, so hopefully I will be able to sleep it off.

Good evening!
I had to pick up a prescription at Rite Aid earlier and I couldn't believe how long the line was at the pharmacy. I guess everyone is making sure they have what they need before the snowstorm. I decided to go to the supermarket afterward, I was going to go tomorrow but I figured it would be crazy busy. I got there around 8:00 pm and it was packed anyway. Oh well, at least I got it over with. The local weathermen still aren't sure about the amount of snow we're going to get. I'm prepared, whatever it may be.

Another week almost gone and next week will bring an end to January.

I don't want to wish time away but I am looking forward to this evening when I can settle in with my family for a cosy evening in. It is going to be a very hectic day and I have not slept much because I am not all that well. Roll on Friday evening!

Did any of you pick up some of Carls special, "Keep you warm in the storm" blend he was giving away at the Pines on Wednesday ? He is fairly certain it will do the job.

Well, I should go and get my lunch together. I made a chicken kale soup last night to bring along.

Good Friday Morning MMC! Ahh back to my normal Fridays where I have a full normal weekend ahead after my once a year working on a Saturday last week. I appreciate this Friday even more-so now after that work day on Saturday. The storm? For my area basically I could wind up getting no snow as the storm is south of me...but at the same point not too far south of me they are predicting a foot of snow. So for now they're still predicting 3-6 inches of snow for my area. I'd be ok with that. I really don't need 12 inches of snow nor do I really want to miss the storm completely. Heck let it snow some on a Saturday. Gives me a reason to stay home and relax. I can do lots of stuff I need to do around the house.

Hey, friends! Hope all has been well. Been busy here, especially the last few days. We have been dodging ice, but it finally got us on Tuesday night and last night Today is going to a snow day. You could look at the roads and think there isn't much, but it is about two inches of solid ice. Won't be here long, so we are gonna bundle up and watch some movies. I already have lunch and supper cooking away. Gonna be a great day! Y'all have fun!

We're in the 12-18 range and my parents are in the 20-24, so we're stocked up and ready for the long haul! My husband has to work until 3:30 so pray he gets home safe. I'm looking forward to a weekend where we actually get to stay home together! I got off work today because the office closed so that's also exciting!

We have a storm watch now for tomorrow morning into Sunday morning. They are saying 4-8 inches of snow...we'll see. I am planning on making a roast for dinner and we will probably have a fire. Watching the news and it looks like that storm is going to be quite nasty. Keeping everyone in its path in my prayers!!

Done with job #2 so I am going to work on store tasks for tomorrow. I can get quite a bit done today so there will be more time to go out and look for more stock tomorrow. By the way, my store is at the top of the list to get the next available bigger space ~ the hard work is paying off!

And to the fact that we are now exactly three weeks away from 2016 Milestone number two, the ONE QUARTER MARK TO THE SEASON.

Days to the Season: 296
Days to Christmas Day: 338

And how have we so rapidly moved this close to completing 1/4 of the journey?
Why, it's the beauty of the Season count, which has been running not from December 25 but from November 13!


Well, we are in for a bad couple of days with freezing rain, snow and sleet. There will no doubt be lots of highway accidents, especially with the freezing rain causing black ice.
Right now, it is 28 degrees here with little additional warmth expected until Sunday. A light overnight sleetfall has already slickened things up a bit.


Regardless, I will try my best to have a Fabulous Friday, Folks.

TGIF, my Christmas friends!

The kids were supposed to leave this morning for an overnight school trip north of Atlanta, but the approaching weather made them postpone it. It's supposed to snow & ice over up there. We found out at 8:00 this morning. I'm relieved that they won't be travelling in the rain, but Nancy and I had date night planned tonight. Oh well, I guess I have a date with Netflix and the Playstation now.

Lunch with my mom and my brother today!
