Good Morning MMC! I can't believe it's already been a month since Christmas. Feels like just yesterday...HAPPY 11 MONTHS UNTIL CHRISTMAS though!

Working from home today. Road still hasn't been plowed. I'm hoping to get out tomorrow. Watching some of our neighbors try to get out has shown me it isn't the smartest idea right now to even try. I'll make the best of it!

I'm sorry I haven't been able to respond to everyone recently-I'm responding as I'm able each day. Please know you're in my thoughts and I look forward to hearing how life is for you as we continue on the journey! Have a great week everyone!

Don't worry. Many of us are unable to keep up. It's the same with me and will start getting more so as the days go by. It is so good to have each other to journey through regardless!!

The bacon explosion was amazing. There was not 1 morsel left. LOL!

Good morning Solice, Happy Monday!

Morning all and a happy Monday. The handbreak cable snapped on my car this morning so Mondays not off to the best start. Fortunately it was at my house so I was able to to leave it there and take my wife's car. I think it knows I want to change it, as it's cost me a fortune the last month, revenge of the unwanted car.

Merry Monday,
We have warmed up here to 10C! A week ago they were saying sub zero temps would last for weeks!

The snow storm is crossing the Atlantic and heading for us. However by the time it gets here it will fall as rain - heavy prolonged rain with severe risk of flooding. I don't know how much more rain we can take here!

Last Monday in January!! Just think, next Monday will welcome us to a whole new month already!

Good morning, MMC!

What a great weekend! Worked, caught up on sleep, did several loads of laundry at the laundromat, didn't use any electronics, made a new recipe and had lunch out with my brother. I could use a bit more sleep, though. This morning I was awake by 1. Just could not fall back asleep so I got up and am getting some things done. Waiting for the sun to come up and then I can really get into some organizing and cleaning. For now I am catching up on the stuff I let slide the past two days.

Good Monday Morning MMC! Happy Rudolph Day! First one of the year. Pretty awesome and amazing Christmas was a month ago now. 11 more to go. Panthers/Broncos in the SB should be good. The weekend I spent half of it shoveling lol. It really threw off my weekend but what can you do? We had such a warm autumn and first half of winter so far. It's like winter paid us back with a bang at once. My boss is out Mon/Tues/Wed of this week. I like her but still...it's kind of nice to get a break from her and sometimes you know how it is you're trying to do some of your regular work and your boss throws these other things at you and then you can't get your work done. So I'm gonna kind of enjoy a little break this week and it's also what is known as my "slow week" at work so I can catch up on things and have a little extra MMC time.

It was still quite cold here yesterday so we did not get too much ice melting despite the sun.
Today is predicted to be warmer and again sunny, so we should make major inroads toward clearing all this out.
Right now, we have again started off quite chilly at 28 degrees here in the capital city of the great state of North Carolina, home of the Panthers!

Why does the weekend always seem to go by in the blink of a eye? Then the week drags along like a catepillar on ice. (Was my Grandmas saying,I aint that hick) lol...unless you ask the Missess.

Very true. There's never enough weekend to rest up for the coming week!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

What a cold Saturday we had...it even snowed a little bit early that morning! I woke Elizabeth up to tell her it was snowing, and she popped right out of bed to get dressed. Of course there was no accumulation, but she stood out in the cold, trying to catch flakes in her mouth...at 7am LOL!

Nancy and I finally had our date night...at home. The kids went to my mom's for supper and a movie, so Nancy and I ordered dinner in and watched a PPV movie on Amazon Prime. Great evening!

Today is the day Jacob and his buddy get to go to the rock concert in Atlanta. They're 18, but I'm going with them, anyway. Atlanta is a little too much for boys raised in the country! We'll spend the night and come home tomorrow.

The supermarket was a mob scene but I got my coffee creamer. There was a commotion on my way out, someone was caught shoplifting. They were trying to hold the guy until the police got there but he broke away and made a run for it. Several workers started chasing him through the parking lot. I ran so fast to my car. I am not going back out today!!!

How scary!!! Bet you couldn't get to your car fast enough. Glad you stayed safe!!

Yay for Friday! The lack of snow is disappointing. I am really wondering if we are going to get any substantial snowfall this year.

Hope you had a nice weekend, though it was snow-less! The extended forecast on accuweather doesn't look very promising for much snow at all for us this year. Bummer!

Made a 16 pound turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet potatoes, baked corn, dressing, Cole slaw, and a pumpkin roll. I'm tired and stuffed. I'll trade leftovers for someone doing the dishes. Lol!!

I think I am in love...
You had me at bacon...explosion.

This was the Christmas dinner I made, prime rib wrapped in bacon. (I was so proud, that I made this)

Wow! That looks amazing!! I bet it tasted amazing too. Wish I didn't like bacon so much!
They devoured the bacon explosion so fast, I didn't even think to take a picture of after it was smoked, but here it was ready for the smoker...

When it's done smoking, I spread bbq sauce over it. Yumm-o! I also made smoked twice baked potatoes, an olive garden salad, corn from the garden, & "knock you naked bars" for dessert! (WOW were they yummy!)
