I am glad to hear her finger is healing.
I am good thank you! We plan on having a lazy Saturday at home and I'm working on Sunday.

Good evening,

I am really feeling lousy, and to top it off, I have been dealing with back spasms again tonight. So I am a sneezing, sniffling, shuffling like a 90 y/o man, mess right now.
I didn't respond to many posts, I just went through quickly so I can get some rest.
All the talk about vacations reminds me I am on vacation again in two weeks. The wife and kids are on winter break, so I thought I would join them. I am looking forward to that.

I think I need to change my signature, that thing is seizure inducing.

Beautiful late morning here. I just finished tidying up and laundry. Now to settle down for some work before the nursery run at mid day.

I am doing good, thank you for asking! How are you and your family doing?
No, I am not up early as this is my new schedule. Can't say I like it as much as my old one, but it is little less than a month in and it is getting to become more of a routine so that is good. I love that I can keep up with the countdown a bit easier!

What is snowfest? It sounds delightful!

Thank you, Festive! It wasn't that much of an inconvenience as it only lasted about 45 minutes. I just had to make sure everything didn't come back on all at once so there was no damage done.
Snowfest takes place around the end of January every year in Frankenmuth. There are snow sculpting/ice carving competitions for amateurs (the high school groups do some amazing work!) and professionals, a warming tent that usually has polka, beer and brats. And a lot of crowds! It is a lot of fun!

I love those almost Friday pics!! I hate this time of year..I go to work in the dark and get home and its dark..but now I have a 3 day weekend so life is good...WOooo!!

Good Morning, Fellow Christmas Comrades!

Rise, shine, take a sip of tea (NOT coffee) unfold today's copy of The Daily Count......and prepared to be astounded.

Days to the Season: 290
Days to Christmas Day: 332

And what is the astounding part?
Well, how about the fact that as of the day after tomorrow we will be down to just TWO WEEKS to the ONE QUARTER Milestone to Christmas Season 2016.
(No? How about mildly astounding? Surprised? Merely interested?)


As predicted, the warmth of yesterday did away with the last of the ice cover and things are back to normal -- at least for this time of the year.
We have commenced the day here at 39 degrees, still with some threat of rain.

Good morning MMC! Happy Friday Eve!!

I posted this over in the Prayer Request thread, but thought I would update you - Please keep my SIL in your prayers. She is back in the hospital. Yesterday she called her friend b/c she was in so much pain - she told her friend to call Hospice, she just wanted to die. So her friend called my sister, my sister called the oncologist who said to get her to the ER - she can't make decisions like this while she's in crisis. So she went in by squad last night & my sis met her there. They have to remove fluid from her Pleural cavity (Thoracentesis‎) I'm not sure if this has been done already or if that will be today. My sis is going back to the hospital today.

So guess where I get to go tonight? Yep, back to the funeral home. My sis who is at the hospital today was going to take Mom, but obviously she is busy now. My Dad's Aunt (through marriage) passed away. She was 96 & a wonderful lady. I didn't know her well - haven't seen her for years & years, but I have met a couple of her sons a few times, my Dad was her son's Godfather. We are also taking Mom to a funeral/gathering (celebration of life) Saturday morning. One of her friends from way back passed away, & we are friends with his daughter/husband, so we all will be going. What fun, huh?

Geez, this is a pretty morbid post- sorry to be a downer.

I am happy that it is Friday Eve!!!! Have a Fantastic Friday Eve everyone!!!

Oh, Holiday, I am so sorry that your family is going through such a hard time right now.
Know that I will be praying for your SIL as well as you and your family!
My deepest condolences to you and your family. Your poor mom, so much loss to deal with right now.
