Glad the weekend is here! The Mrs. has a Birthday today so off to the inlaws to celebrate. Finish January off strong with a Christmas movie or two tonight!

Had a fun time seeing the The Revenant with my dad today. Good movie. Though the movie is quite different from the actual story, it was still a good movie. I wish Hollywood would try to stick closer to the actual history when they make movies. I always find the changes they make to be less interesting than what really happened. But that may have something to do with the fact that I teach history and am a bit of history nut.... or just a nut

Ditto! Not to fond of the hatchet job most books to screen end up getting, too.

Consider this -- that we are now a scant TWELVE days away from the one quarter Milestone Marker to Christmas Season 2016.
That's practically down to SINGLE DIGITS!
(There. Surely that did the trick.)


Slowly getting warmer by the day and that trend should continue to the middle of next week, so we are in for some nice weather for the next few days!
That will certainly be welcomed.
Right now, it's quite sunny and our back door thermometer reports 49 degrees.

And we arrive at the last day of the first month...in nine month and one day, My Christmas Tree will be back up!

Wonderful weather here! We are getting in the 60's and there is a breeze. It is literally the calm before the storm. We are right in the center of a bullseye for tomorrow. Supposed to be a lot of significant weather tomorrow evening.

Good evening all 9pm here in UK on a windy damp Jan night ,,,Feb tomorrow so that means only 10 short months till Christmas decorations up in my house ,,,,,,,,cant wait ...have a great Sunday all where ever on this world you are and hope Feb is a good month for you all ,,,

Another day of rest, still feeling rundown but dI'd get a nap in . JP is now sick with what LC had the other day, so I am not sure what tomorrow will hold. If he has to stay home, it will be me staying with him since my wife starts a class tomorrow.
I read tonight that one of my favorite groups is going to stop touring at the end of the year. Status Quo had a press release giving their reasons. The gentlemen are entering their late sixties, and pretty much been performing concerts for almost 50 years, I just discovered them within the last 18 months. They never were big in the USA, they had one hit, Pictures of Matchstick Men in 1968, but they are still a good hard rock outfit. I am saddened I will never get to see them live in concert.

Hope both your boys get well soon. My eldest is now sick too along with my youngest so I am in the same boat.

I like Status Quo. I didn't know about the press release. Sorry you never got to see them. Shame you can't get to the UK for the summer. There are a few gigs lined up. I am guessing those will probably be their last.

Hope your day isn't too rough with both boys being off ill. I hope you get to feeling better soon too.
