Thanks Edge, to be honest ... if a broken snow blower was the worst thing to happen in January, I'm way ahead on the scoreboard! Here's to one month down and not wishing the year away, but making the rest of it awesome. I hope everyone chases down some dreams this year, I plan on it.

Good morning MMC! "Happy" Monday!! Whew - looks like I have a lot of catching up to do from the weekend!

We had a nice time Friday night eating Mexican w/ my brothers/sisters/in-laws & Mom. Delish! Saturday Jim ended up working on the farm so we never made it to the memorial gathering, but Mom came over for lunch with me instead. Yesterday we had a good turn out for Moms birthday brunch (best meal of the year ) And today is her birthday!!

She kept saying "I don't know why we have to celebrate my birthday so many times" LOL!

And now it's back to the grind.... I think Gracie has an ear infection. Poor girl! I have some stuff at home I'm using but if it doesn't help, I'll have to make an apt at the vet.

Had an all-day headache yesterday that was hard to get rid of and left me feeling light-headed and spacey and tired when it was finally gone later in the evening. Still feel a bit that way this morning. A headache hangover?

I've made this before. Turned the leftovers into soup by adding beef broth and seasoned tomato sauce. It was yummy!

I finished the Yule Tree afghan yesterday, but didn't feel well enough to wrestle it around and weave in all the "tails." After I do, I'll take a photo of it to post. I think it came out well. Trying to figure out what to make next. I just puttered around with making some granny squares from scraps yesterday evening. Maybe it's time for another "triple feature" afghan.

Hope both your boys get well soon. My eldest is now sick too along with my youngest so I am in the same boat.

I like Status Quo. I didn't know about the press release. Sorry you never got to see them. Shame you can't get to the UK for the summer. There are a few gigs lined up. I am guessing those will probably be their last.

Hope your day isn't too rough with both boys being off ill. I hope you get to feeling better soon too.

Their shows will be over as of December in the UK. I guess they have a huge European tour lined up a little later this year. It is funny they are HUGE all over the the world accept the USA. I am very much an Anglophile when it comes to music, my favorite groups are, in no particular order, The Beatles, The Move, ELO, Badfinger, Status Quo, Kaleidoscope/Fairfield Parlour...
A trip to the UK unfortunately isn't in the cards.
LC went back to school today, and JP stayed home, they are both feeling better now. Thank you.

It ranks up there....I'm glad I don't have to pick one over the other. We had a feast! I brought a smoked breakfast casserole experiment which was quite tasty, sausage bread, bacon jerky (which was gone before I even got down the basement....) & cinnamon rolls. Everybody else brought casseroles, meats, fruit, juices, coffee, birthday cake & homemade ice cream. I ate way too much!
