My boys are still unwell. My youngest coughed all night. I hope he has some relief tonight.
My eldest will be off today. My youngest may be well enough to go to nursery as it's only 2 1/2 hours there. We shall see.

Windstorms continue. The temps though have been unseasonable mild here reaching 11C!! This has been happening the last few years around this time. Just when we think we are heading toward an early spring, we then enter a cold snap that lasts well after the official start of spring!

Aww, I hope the boys are feeling better very soon. Doggone coughs can hang on so long, sometimes. I hope those windstorms dial down very soon, too. We're having mild temps here, but the cold is supposed to return next week.

Happy Groundhog Day, my Christmas friends!

As Edge noted above, Punxsutawney Phil (Boy, I had to check that one a couple times ) has predicted an early spring. We haven't even had winter around here yet! It's going to be sunny and 80°F today!! Well, it's going to cool off a little by the end of the week, after the thunderstorms roll through starting tomorrow.

good morning all my merry Christmas friends !
A day off paid work, but lots of other work to do.
Also going to sign up for a cake competition, which is actually not until November, but signing up now means I will get a nice goodie bag when I drop off my cake. Theme this year is fashion...a 3 tier wedding cake made to resemble what ever fashion I choose.
Still lots of packing and cleaning going on here, only 27 days to go till moving day.
Anyone in the mood to help? Free lunch included.

The cough is worse at night and yes they do hang on. Nothing seems to help all that much either.

It's pretty mild sometimes here too these days but can often drop suddenly!

Thank you! I think her actual Birthday was much more quiet than weekend leading up to her birthday. LOL! The girls at the Y sang happy birthday to her in the morning to start her day. She had phone calls & her neighbor came to visit. I believe it was all good!

They are warning people on the news to stay put and only travel if it's necessary, or an emergency. Most area schools have already closed for tomorrow. I'm apprehensive & confused. No doubt it will be a bad storm, but this is northern Wisconsin. This isn't unusual.
Not looking forward to the commute home, though! Stay safe everyone.

Oh yikes!!! Stay safe!!! Hope it's a lot of hype & doesn't get THAT bad. We are supposed to have 52º with wind/rain & possible storms today. Sure was pretty this morning though - lots of frost on the rooftops!

Good evening,

It has been a long day here. JP stayed home sick today, and it is looking the same for tomorrow.
I took advantage of the time off from work while tending to him to get more Christmas stuff put away, including my 7.5ft tree. I had a tree up until February 1! I am kind of proud and kind of ashamed at the same time. So many things were getting in the way of taking it down this year, just like when I was trying to get decorated back in November. All I have left to do is to put my Santa collection away, and get the lights off the roofline. That room looks so empty and dark without the tree tonight. 10 more months, 10 more months...
I hope you all had a good Monday.

I hope JP is feeling better today!!! It's always sad to take the tree down. My mom told me on Saturday when she was over for lunch that she thought I could take my tree down in the sunroom anytime now. LOL Have a great day xmas!

Good morning everyone, Merry Tuesday!
Busy morning so far. Cooked breakfasts, packed lunches, everyone is up and off to school & work. Just finished cleaning the kitchen and threw in a load of laundry. My daughter had to go in to the city for another job training seminar so I had to drive her to the train station earlier. Feeling kind of anxious, I don't like her traveling around the city by herself. Can't wait until she gets back home tonight. I'm heading out soon, I need to go to the supermarket for a few things. I may take a ride to Target this afternoon as well. Other than that I will be working on my daily chores.
Sending get well wishes to everyone not feeling well.
Praying for everyone that is dealing with the wintry weather, please be safe.

I listen to those bands too (and some more) I sometimes get people who don't now Badfinger. They were such a good bad and have influenced so many bands with their sound. I hadn't realised Status Quo wasn't all that big in the US.
