Good Tuesday Morning MMC! A dusting of snow again fell last night and maybe another inch or 2 this afternoon into this evening. Bitter cold coming this weekend. Well it will be the weekend at least and will just give me more reason to stay home and rest. Funny the biggest snowstorm we had this winter fell on the weekend and now the biggest/worst cold weather we'll probably have this entire winter is falling on the weekend. Timing is everything in life sometimes. Other than that just gonna go to work, try to stay positive and have a solid day hopefully. Superbowl leftovers were delicious Monday evening.

Already two strikes on the day: I'm badly missing my kinklings; and my dental insurance won't cover a penny of some work that I can't put off---that'll be nearly $4K out of pocket. It's a long story, but if I could get my hands on the dentist who years and years ago botched a root canal that caused me to lose that tooth last year to infection ...

Time to think of something else and turn this bad attitude around.

Thanks Holiday. I am having side effects off them which are not pleasant but I know this will all be behind me soon. Fingers crossed anyway. I will know at the end of the week what the next step is.

I don't think I mentioned this because this last week has been so overwhelming.
But, Har's regular vet was to do the dental surgery. She didn't diagnose Har with the murmur, another vet did a few months ago when ours was out of the office for awhile-I believe I mentioned it here. The vet who diagnosed her told me there was nothing you could do until she started showing symptoms, and that you could take x-rays but there's not preventative meds, just meds once the heart failure begins. Well, that vet "forgot" to put her diagnosis in Harlowe's chart! My regular vet had no idea. Thank God she heard it while performing her exam prior to surgery. When she called me, she told me herself what she found. Had she not heard it, she could've performed the surgery with the shape her lungs and heart are in...

The vet she saw yesterday while my vet was off, was good. I will insist on her if Har's regular vet is unavailable.

Oh my, that is horrible that the vet did not add the diagnosis to Har's chart! So glad it turned out okay, but I do hope the vet who messed up gets a lecture on where s/he went wrong!

Evening friends. A couple of hectic days are ahead, but I'm planning a few days off at the end of the month so focusing on that. This blasted chest infection is still lingering though which is annoying to say the least. Hope everyone is having a good week so far.

WOW ... I wonder how they got it to grow in tiers like that! Mine has crazy growth spurts, but I don't know how to "train" it or shape it. I don't like to mess with it too much, because it's healthy and happy.

Thank you so much for thinking of me. I woke up not feeling as much side effects from the meds so my body is probably adjusting now. There has been slight improvement but I am reminding myself it's only the 3rd day so I am sure things will improve at a quicker pace as the days progress.

Good Wednesday Morning MMC! I got to work an hour early today. More overtime this week. I've been consistently getting a few hours or more of OT this year so far. I'm not complaining about the extra $. But it just makes me appreciate the weekends even a tiny bit more and being able to not have to rush out early. And this weekend coming especially I'm glad I won't have to because the temps are going to be bitter cold. I'm hopeful this will be our coldest stretch of the winter. By next week it's supposed to moderate at least in to the 30s and 40s. That will feel like Florida compared to this weekend. Am I mentioning the word "weekend" too many times when it's only Wednesday? By the way I saw a few houses lit again as I drove to work. Crazy huh? Feb 10! Keep it going till the end of Feb I say!

Lucky! I haven't seen any lights yet, but on my way to the store there are a lot of outdoor decorations still around , including on businesses. Love it!

That's what I've decided to do. A friend who used to go to our current dentist and left for a new one highly recommends her new one ... she does good dental work, and will work out payment plans with patients instead of requiring 100% the day of the appointment. She has some evening and Saturday hours, too!

We have ... she's Laura. (After Laura La Plante, a silent film actress of the 1920s. Get it? ) She's a "she" because she's a mama. A few years ago I started three or four new plants from cuttings, as gifts.

Good Pinesday morning, my Christmas friends!

My chicken & yellow rice was a hit! I made a big pot, planning to provide my lunch for a couple days, too, but we wound up taking it to Bernie & Hilda's for a big supper. Not many leftovers leftover! That's ok. I always enjoy spending time with my in-laws. They are great!

Our weekend keeps getting busier...and I wanted to go to the mountains, doggone it! Our church is having a fund-raising spaghetti dinner Friday, Jacob's band is playing Friday night, and now Jacob has to work on Saturday. That boy might get left behind.

Still sending prayers for Snowflake & Harlowe, Sam, and everyone else who could use His help today!

Good morning MMC! Happy Hump/Pines Day! What a morning! Got a call at 6:45 - Mom thinks she has pneumonia! She didn't sleep well last night due to the coughing + she took Nyquil, so that made her "dopey" (her words! ) My sis checked in on her at 7. I stopped on my way to work & she wanted me to get her some cough drops. I stopped at work to see if they needed anything here - got her cough drops & made her a hot toddy (minus the whiskey ) She thought that helped to calm her cough a little. My brother stopped to check on her while I was there. I came back to work & my other sister was on her way there - she is taking her to the doc at 10:45. I finally got to work a little after 9....and it already seems like I've been here a full day! What the heck?! Hopefully some good drugs will help her out & she won't need to be admitted to the hospital. xx
That's been about all that's going on here today! LOL Have a wonderful day MMC!!! (It's cold outside!)
