She had a pretty good night, there was a little coughing but she held her own.

You are right. she has done SO much better since she found out she will be heading home! It was amazing the transformation. I just think she needed some good news. It was hard to see her so down in the dumps!
I texted my cousin over the weekend. She said my aunt was doing well, but home health was in & 1 lung is "quiet" so they want her to cough & get rid of whatever ick is in there! But hopefully she stays well!
This is what Mom's spirometer looks like:

She has to put that tube in her mouth & suck in air, raising the 2 floating plastic pieces inside (1 is yellow & 1 is white in the picture) She's supposed to do that 10 times per hour. She has been much more willing to do it after she heard about getting out of there!

When my dad went into the hospital when he was sick, before surgery, he was able to peg both to the top. Afterwards, it wasn't as good. He had had surgery for his pancreatic cancer and they removed most of his pancreas and part of his stomach. That pic brings back memories, mainly the good one of him shocking all the nurses by pegging both pieces to the top. Prayers for you and your family, Holiday!

Well I went out for lunch and my car wouldn't start. Started giving me all weird messages check your brakes, ABS system, airbag system...called my mechanic he thinks its the battery. Says car goes crazy sometimes like that. Thing is this battery is a little over 3 years...supposed to be a 5 year battery? How come I've never had a 5 year battery even last 4 years? Just wondering...

Lots of circumstances come into play with battery life. Periods of hot/cold weather,starting, how long it charges,...in a nutshell its how the battery is treated during its lifetime. The new AGM gel batteries are much better with taking abuse.

Oh goodness HMG!
That must have been such a shock to hear about the murmur! Keeping your daughter in my prayers. I am sure you must be worried. (((((Hugs)))
I hope the cough, sinuses and ear infection clear up quickly with the new meds. She must be in such discomfort and the broken sleep doesn't help.
Hope you all managed a better night's rest last night.

Thanks Sam. It was a shock to hear about the murmur, my daughter just saw the pediatrician a few days ago. So strange. The new cough medicine helped her last night, thank God. Hopefully she'll improve now with some rest and the new medicine. I will keep you posted.
I hope Isaac is doing well with the new inhaler. I will continue to keep all of you in my prayers.

Good Tuesday Morning MMC! Will it start or won't it? That's my question as I head out to my car this morning. Fortunately I have a self starter kit that I charged over night. Once my coworker jump started me it took 1 second and the car was fine. I'm thinking the battery is just starting to go hopefully slowly. I'm thinking of getting a new battery on Saturday if my car is starting ok this week and I can get around till then. My coworker says he's been driving around with a dying battery for a "long while." What the heck is he waiting for? lol...I just hate the idea of getting stuck somewhere. I guess we all don't realize how much we rely on our cars. Other than that my supervisor is back today (I call her our savior because she is the smartest and best person I ever worked with). And I'm gonna buy some chicken cutlet entree for lunch and save half for Wednesday so I have two good lunches at work.

Oh my goodness, your poor daughter. Praying she is better today and that the murmur is not serious. 75 for cough medicine is ridiculous! I hope both you and your daughter were able to get a good night's sleep in and that today will be a better one for you! Take care, my friend! xx

Thanks Meceka. I couldn't believe the price of the cough medicine. She really needed something stronger, she wasn't getting any relief from over the counter suppressants.Thankfully it helped, she got some much needed sleep last night!

Going to be a long day today. Another slow cooker full of cranberry applesauce is cooking away ~ the smell of cinnamon and vanilla is very strong ~ love it!! Trying to figure out what I want to accomplish today ~ so much to do. I just need to prioritize.
