Maggie's doing alright, she has fallen in to a bad habit of waking up in the wee hours of the morning. It's frustrating. I hope I can stay awake for the game tonight!
My dad is doing better already, he was released from the hospital today!

Gee, it is about my bedtime already ~ that is what happens when you get up at 2 am most mornings. I've been so tired the past two days that it has been hard to visit here. All caught up, though, so hopefully I'll be able to make time tomorrow for a quick visit.

Happy Birthday to your son! Nothing like a kids birthday party on the weekend! When I was his age we all had bowling/pizza parties. What do kids have these days?

We are done with the big parties now, it was just getting too expensive. We have done bowling, roller skating, jungle gym courses, swimming, etc... Of course pizza was the meal for each of those. We are just having family over for pizza and cake. Instead of big party for each of them, we are taking the boys to an indoor water park next week, just the 4 of us.

Good evening everyone, or should I say goodnight?
Well, the wife and I went out to do a little bit of car shopping this evening. The plan was simply to look, not really to buy just yet. I have been looking online at various car lots ans such for several weeks now, so I had a pretty decent idea what was in the area and what we were looking for. We went to a local lot because of seeing a car online that intrigued us. We wanted to see the car in person. To make a long story short, we could not NOT buy the car. So... we bought a car tonight. It is a 2007 Chevy HHR, granted, not new by any means, BUT only 32,000 miles!!! The car had only 1 owner who bought the car from that lot and just traded it in. The owner was an older couple who barely drove the car. It is in perfect shape inside and out. They took great care of the car and kept the maintenance records as well. The price was right, lower than what we were willing to pay. Pretty exciting evening.

Now it is about time for bed.
